Are we not offering because we have offered a higher ranked SF? Maybe we're sitting pretty with a 4-5 star SF for next year ??

Well Hunter, Anderson, Dort can all play the same position as Henry.

Hellems...whoa.  Crazy weekend for him.

Race for this season is intriguing I suppose.   If he's ready.

Cole Anthony is a beast.  Still really like Dort.  Always have like Carey but he isn't leaving Northeast, it appears.

So Hunter, Anderson, Henry for our SF slot in that order?

Hellems poured in another 34 points in his Friday morning game.  That's 113 points in the 4 games he's played at Peach Jam.

IU assistant Ed Schilling spotted at Peach Jam this morning. Watching two courts: Bradley Beal/CIA Bounce, Team Florida/All Ohio Red.   That would be Garland, maybe Hellems and Watford.

Archie and Olstrom are watching Thompson and Hurt here.

Thompson, Hunter, Henry, and then a impact guard would be a top 10 class. That would also leave at least 3 scholarships for 2019.

I would prefer more guards and less forwards in the 2018 class. We are after some big fish on the wing and post in the 2019 class.

Thompson joining the 17 class would be interesting. I would feel better about our post depth and it would be a year in the system. Interesting development.

Archie has mentioned using red shirts so complete speculation but maybe Thompson will use it if he's not ready

I love red-shirts. Not specifically for Thompson, just in general. I believe it is a huge development tool.

Wisconsin big men are a prime example of how to do it. I'm too lazy to look, but am pretty confident Happ, Kaminsky and all those guys were not elite recruits. After a year of seasoning and conditioning and look at how they contribute.

Great model to emulate.

Finally Phinisee is having a good game. 11 pts in the first have with at least 5 good passes. He is one interesting recruit. You hear a lot of good things about him, then you hear some so so things about him.

He also had 8 rebounds in his "bad" game yesterday. That tells me that he can contribute when he's not shooting well, and that even though he is only 6'0", he does not back down from a battle.

I would like to see him play for the Indiana Hoosiers.

I don't have any problems with his game I just think we can do better at PG.

Garland would be great. Really great. However, I can't imagine we're likely to get him. If the staff thinks that we have a real chance with Garland, he would only make Romeo that much more likely, would be huge news, and I would fully understand why they would slow-play/delay Phinisee because of it. If not? then I believe that Phinisee is worth bringing in.

Trying to think which recruits we've had who have risen big through Summer evals vs the other.

Rob Johnson was a BIG riser.
Juwan rose a little.
Clifton Moore kind of after our signing.

We are due to get one of those recruits that go from unheralded to highly regarded one of these times.

Didn't Troy jump up after the July period?
