Very highly doubt the Janitor has any insight to the coaching search. Not much more than a Twitter troll with the occasional scoop at this point.

Lol it's been longer than a week. Just saying don't take the Janitor as gospel like you once could.


I just asked him on there tuesday night when Crean was gone and if and said it would be thursday or friday. Seems solid to me.

Boy we've went from hanging from the janitors sack to stabbing him in the back.  Haha

Right my thoughts exactly. He has not been wrong this entire time. Not once. He has barely even been saying anything at all on twitter so not sure where the trolling comes from but someone that pinpointed the day of Crean being fired just on Tuesday probably STILL knows more than any of us and probably the same for 247. If we listen to those guys and dont question it then I have no clue why we would the janitor?

Reminds me of when we used to be "rivals" with Illinois and their fans were always on our boards, they lost to Western Kentucky in the first round and I got an angry PM from one of them saying "Your a stupid inbread! IU sucks!" 

To be fair, Illinois does consider us their main rivals. Who else they got? Also having been born, raised and still living in the middle of Iwhini Country, I get more pumped for the Illinois games. I can say this for many Hoosier fans in this area. That doesn't mean we don't get pumped for Purdue. But when surrounded by Iwhini fans, it's the nature of the beast.

It's very difficult to develop sources and inversely easy to lose them. Whether that's them not trusting you or them losing their access.

I completely agree. Not doubting that but he know of the day Crean would be fired less than a week ago and after saying it on twitter he deleted it after a few hours and re posted the things will end badly if they do. Sounds like he was covering his sources but if he was in the know a few days ago he definitely heard things regarding our next coach before if he did lose his sources.

If so, we have nothing further to discuss. I don't understand how many here can get so indignant about other programs not doing things the "right way", and then in the same breath call Alford as the savior of the program.

Had Alford not played for IU, he wouldn't be in the conversation. It's ridiculous he is even being talked about.

Thats a big if though about him playing here. Any other candidate that came through IU if they were clean and were top notch coach he would probably be my first choice behind only Brad and maybe Billy D depending on his success. The IU thing is huge IMO but Alford has to many red flags and is dangerously in Calipari territory now. UK runs itself now so Cal has quieted the talk but seems like Alford is winning to pick it up for him.

No you were extrapolating something I didn't say falsely to try and prove your point.  The issue is a proven underachiever like Alford and a proven winner like Billy Donovan.  

I'll believe BD is coming when it is announced. Until then, I won't say he is definitely coming. Having said that, Alford is far from my top choice.

Now Illinois fans are saying their getting Billy D lol as well as UCLA and U of L fans. This is getting crazy. I will say this is our one shot at him. If we get someone else he is either a Thunder coach for good by next coach search we have which is hopefully a lonnnnng time from now or at another college. Probably UK or maybe Duke. If Archie Miller goes to Illinois and it happens soon I will believe Billy D is our guy even more. That would mean we didnt even try for Archie and that only happens if we had some clearly better.
