At the end of the day I don't really care about how many points a team scores.  There are no style points and "fun to watch" doesn't win games.

As I've said before my dislike for the offense has nothing to do with style points or because it's boring it's because not once have the averages over 70.4 pts per game, they are not even top 300 in points per game, I wonder if a NCAA champion has ever one being not in the top 300! In points per game.

For one it's more entertaining but however I agree it's more frustrating. I hate that's the way our team is right now and Bennett is a HUGE upgrade but just like my post above I'm weary of Bennett having the ability to win it all until he finds a way to get a better offense which maybe at IU he will, he's earned the chance.

I respect that. I wouldn't say his offense was the only reason they haven't advanced further in the tournament. Running into hall of fame coaches doesn't help and last year it was their defense just as much of their offense in the last 10 min of that game against Cuse. They couldn't get any stops. For me Bennett's sample size for success in the tourney is too small for me to say his offense won't win it all. 3 years of legitimately having a shot at winning it all just isn't enough data for me.

And that's fine because outside of Stevens, Donovan and honestly of guys in College Jay Wright, Bennett would be my guy.

There is nothing wrong with Virginia's offense they just play at a slower pace then everybody. The last 4 years they have produced a top 40 offensive efficient team every year (38 this year, 8, 22, and 24). They are a consistently efficient offense just not at a pace that everybody likes

Good info!  I don't mind the slow pace.  I just want to see execution.

Bennett is a little farther down on my list. I love his defense, but there's nothing worse than watching a team struggle to score. It's a system that works, which is at least more than what we have,  but I'd rather have a coach that can adapt, rather than winning one way.

His offenses are pretty efficient. Never understood this belief he can't score

Maybe because he only outscores 48 teams in the nation.

Is that just for this season, or over his whole time at Virginia? This year they have definitely had issues, but I don't think that has been the case every season (I might be wrong).

Tony Bennett is a great coach but I don't think his style of ball can win a national championship

That's what I was getting ready to say. Anytime Virginia is on my bracket I never take them far in the tournament. Defense keeps you in a game but offense will win it.
