Wait so is it trustees or Glass who want Crean out? We can't even seem to get that straight?

Crean has helped some trustees. I don't see them turning on him. But as said above if it came to a vote, idk. I do know Glass and Crean being tied to the hip is 100% false. Don't know where that started, and Glass would know if Crean is back his contract turns into a one year deal as well banking on Crean. Again I think there is just a lot of noise that may not have legs.

I don't feel so bad about rooting for the tank now. I had a feeling that things would have to get real ugly for something to happen.

It's mostly Glass who wants Crean to stay and the majority of the trustees who want him gone. I'm sure Glass wants Crean to stay because he doesn't want to admit that he made a bad choice when he extended Crean's contract, but heck, why wouldn't he realize that people wouldn't give a damn about him making that "wrong choice" as long as he was the guy who made the RIGHT choice to get rid of him and find a stellar replacement who put excitement back into IU basketball??! 

His extension was a couple of years and would have been done the following year which would be worse if he hadn't done it then. That extension or the buyout have zero bearing on his decision.

I'd ask Mr. Cuban if he hired someone to run part of his company that had promised to bring back the old profitability of his company to its former sales numbers and after 9 years helping run the company, the company hadn't got anywhere near its old numbers, would you, Mr. Cuban, retain that person, or would you fire them? Not to mention it's the 2nd worse year ever with the company. 

It just doesn't add up anyway you look at it, he has to go. Disappointed in seeing Cubes back Crean.

Can anyone legitimately confirm that this big meeting of the minds actually took place today/tonight? Assuming it didn't take place in a secret underground bunker, at least this basic fact should be able to be certified.

That's the problem. From what I can tell the only verified info we have from anyone credible is Rabjohns source saying Crean back. Everything else is rumors and speculation.

Except now its been reported on 247 that Rabjohns' sources said it was just their opinion that Crean is back. Nothing confirmed, hence why Rabjohns hasn't tweeted anything out

I doubt anyone legit would confirm it. Next scheduled meeting for the board is in April. Doesn't mean they can't make a vote happen. The only way the board acts as it has according to speculation here would be a vote of no confidence for Glass which they would then fire him then Crean. To keep someone that is a budgeted employee of the state is not their job. I call BS. They can "urge" Fred, but if they didn't trust his judgement they would just fire him. That one doesn't add up.

Like I said that may be true but until I get something else credible I have to believe someone like Rabjohns over all this other speculation. Don't want to believe it but logic says go with the guy who's face you have seen.

He may very well be back, but Rabjohns is not the only one that would hear anything. Osterman, Doyel, and Bozich would all put that out there. Dakich would hear as well. He would be the first one to call all IU fans idiots. He may fall into this one, but he isn't infallible on coaching speculation. If he was, Lon Kruger would be our coach and Tom Crean would be at Alabama.
