Yeah we barely won a game we lead 19 with like 6 minutes left.  Seems like we got outcoached down the stretch.  A problem that has plagued this team as of late.  We lose that game anywhere but assembly hall.

You are the one that sounds mad.  But I am not going to let 1 win cloud my judgement.  Crean has always been capable of great wins, we have known that for years.  An honest assessment of this game though would recognize that Crean didn't do a very good job down the stretch, against a not very good coach on the opposing side. 

 

Crean developed a brilliant defensive gameplan for this game, and then let it slip away at the end because of deficiencies he has had for years and failed to work on.  That is a concern.

For me I see this kind of a statement a lot. I understand where you are coming from, but we weren't away from AH. Hard to say how the game starts out anywhere away from home. We could say we lose that game if we turn the ball over more than 4 times. Every game is full of ifs. That's why I don't like blaming refs and stuff like that. Every game has it's ifs. We won. On to the next. We need to come out focused.

I agree with others here. Great game plan especially defensively. But come on you gotta manage that last 5 min. better than that. No way that lead should get cut to 2.

Over the top maybe just a tad? They started hitting shots down the stretch they weren't hitting all game. We act like a timeout will magically cure all. Then in the same breath constantly complain about how nothing changes coming out of a timeout. I just don't know what this dude can do in some of your eyes to be content. There is no coach in America that will live up to your standards. That's fine. I am just honestly flabbergasted by the complaints after a win like this that is such a bad matchup. The argument constantly shifts onto something else then you guys pounce like we have lost 5 in a row. Either way it's a discussion I guess...

I believe I have been very consistent in my dissatisfaction with Creans lack of timeout.  We do suck at drawing up plays during Tinemouts, but it is a good momentum killer, and they were hitting shots because they were more open and we were jacking shots 5 seconds into the shotclock that weren't exactly gimmees.  Whether or not it works a coach has to call TOs there to try and get the team settled and back to doing what was working.

"We don't want to discuss we just aren't happy with the state of our program no matter what." I think that would be more appropriate if you guys don't want posters questioning why you choose to come here first after that win.

Man trust me, I was confusing my fiancee all game with my compliments of crean until the final 5 minutes.  I was very happy had we not collapsed at the end I would have probably posted something in this topic about how perhaps he was working to improve his deficiencies.

My feelings on the coach are known so I'm not getting into that right now, and I think I've been consistent saying I don't care about one game or season at this point so I'm not getting into that either.

 

My post didn't really didn't even have anything to do with Crean aside from a quote in my signature.
