Guy and Leaf - did we recruit Guy very hard or was he basically never coming to IU regardless?  As for Leaf, I never felt we ever had a realistic chance at him.  Just another throw a scholly into the wind IMO.

Kyle Guy is killing it at UVA right now. Mr Basketball in Indiana.

TJ Leaf went to HS in California, but he's dad was from Indy and his mom from Evansville.  

Oh yeah, and I think he was mentioned, but Kris Wilkes heading out west to UCLA next year, too.  

I cry myself to sleep at night over losing Guy. He's special and going to be a legend at Virginia. Did anyone watch him play both ends last night? From what I watched, it looked like he was the best player on the court. Really gifted scorer and passer but I didn't know he could that level of defense. Did anyone catch his post game interview? They asked him specifically about his defense and he said "Coach Bennett has us playing defense at least 75% of practice." That may not be an exact quote but nonetheless... I thought this board would have been blowing up over that comment.

Swanigan, Dawson, Bluiett, and Lyles were never coming here.  Great players from the state who everyone would love to have, but they were not coming to Indiana.  It's tough to call them "misses".

Lyles was on board for a bit. That's a miss.

Bluiett- I think right pitch and right coach could have convinced him. Maybe not though.

I hear ya.  But my point was to point out those kids are in the backyard.  Having them in for dinner from time to time keeps them playing in the backyard.
