IU Hoosier41

Indiana @ Iowa Game Thread... #BuckleUp

Recommended Posts

I went to bed before OT started.  I take it IU snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, aka a Tom Crean special.  Which begs the question, on a scale of 1-10 how incompetent did Crean look this time?

The teams that are worse than us are the Southeastlibertyarkansasvalleytechnicalbaptiststate types.

Counting only B1G games plus UL, UNC, Butler, and Kansas, our ratio drops to .78. Which would drop us to 320 out of 347, and basically tied with Oregon St and Oklahoma as the worst of the P5 teams. Good thing we're guard oriented.

IU was 5-5 with OG before his injury. 3-3 in conference and 2-2 against Butler, UNC, Kansas and Louisville. And if we count IPFW, 5-6

Another game where we are doing pointless ball movement 40 feet away from the rim with 15 seconds left in the shot clock. I mean seriously, what is the point of passing the ball 4-5ft outside the 3 point line non stop? Crean is "creating" this "NBA" type spacing is my best guess. He wants us to keep passing the ball around the perimeter and eventually someone has to chuck up a shot (James/ROJO/Bryant) or someone drives it in (Josh). I mean I just don't get how we have made ZERO adjustments through the entire season. We've done the same crap since 2010.

The only impressive thing I saw last night was when Iowa was in a 2-3 zone and we ran a set that looked like someone who knew basketball would draw up. How come Iowa can make great adjustments but we can't? Going into a 2-3 zone? GENIUS! Pressing us knowing we can't handle the ball or makes smart decisions, GENIUS!

It's just a damn shame that we have this terrible coach.
