Coach Tom crean to Missouri (rumor or whatever)

Recommended Posts

What a great fit for Crean. He can consistently find underdeveloped/ under-recruited stars in the 150+ range while occasionally landing a 4*. He can build a team every 2-3 years that can make it to the sweet 16. He doesn't have to worry about being an XO savant. He will upset a high ranked seed at least once a year. And he could get away with scheduling 8+ cupcakes a year! Plus when he has a disastrous down year to follow a S16 run, they won't call for his head. I can't think of a better fit.

Hey hit the nail on the head brother!

Is this a result of my post yesterday?  If it is, there's no rumor or anything as far as I know.  There was just a Missouri fan on TOS national board saying a bunch of their fans have Crean on their wish list.

Regardless, I do think it'd be a good fit for him.  He'd do really well in the SEC, especially because he does seem to have Kentucky's number.

Ummmmm. I just wanted to send out some alternative facts to make us all smile. Plus, maybe it would gain some traction and CTC would wear a tracksuit at northwestern today and take a trip to Missouri after the game.

Missouri, If you are reading this...please hire coach Thomas _____ Crean (sorry, don't know his middle name). He has a big heart and cares about alot of things. He is a nice man. We will help pay for the moving costs. Signed, Hoosier nation

My alternative fact is that I heard, from people VERY close to both programs, that Duke is "backing up the truck" to get Crean to take over for Coach K.  Going to take a bunch of big donors, hedge fund guys etc., but they are confident they can make it work.

What are you talking about? He's one of the top minds and coaches in the game of basketball. We'd love to keep him in Btown but understand Mizzou needs him to rebuild their program. It's such a shame we'll have to find another coach.

LOL, Duke going after Crean.  No amount of "alternative facts" or mental gymnastics makes that one believable.

Hate to disagree but I have heard that influential Duke donors like Coach K's scowl but feel he does not clap enough and is too pale.   Might be telling you "I told you so" very, very shortly.

Yes, I heard about duke wanting as well. However, some big donor ( that is not to be named) said he is worried about having enough diet coke in Durham.

That is a fear....Hence the secret talks with the bottlers.

There is also the issue of reaching a settlement with the Durham salon responsible for the 70 year old coach K having jet black hair.  Several salon people could lose their job and want compensation.
