I got hot when when I realized we weren't taking serious the idea of pursuing the best Indiana natives in the portal. We were being patronized with the Hickmans, Hatton, the shooter from Clemson and the late, half-assed efforts with Conwell and Humrichous. I wanted Gillespie at point, Conwell the 2 and Dre Davis at the 3. Ballo would be great with that and Mgbako. But my favorite player in the portal was Wolf. He might be the only big in the country that could work with Reneau. Right now I think Woody gets it and will hold Reneau out as long as possible. We'll see if winning matters more than whatever promise he gave Reneau in the off season.

We need what all of the great women's teams have, size and length, preferably athletic size. Right now the two California teams and Michigan seem to be doing the best jobs recruiting.

We need to win as many games as possible while Reneau is out.

If we go on the road and beat PS with Reneau out we hopefully grow from that.

The Ballo, Mgbako and 3 guard stuff looked sustainable. I looked out there once and even saw 3 guards, Tucker and Ballo.

I would like to see Reneau with a mysterious lower leg injury against Rutgers and start Tucker instead of Goode. I'm thinking something in this neighborhood too. I watched a bit of Winthrop the other night. If the moment were ever to come that we changed our frontline starters I would sit and watch with an open mind. Until then I already know what I'm watching.

Our guards could be exceptional but they are all down hill get to the basket guards. High ball screen and roll guards. We still have a very high level of talent with a ton of versatility, it's just implemented as poorly as possible. I'm not sure there is a combination of players that could succeed consistently running this stuff. 1. You have to defend your position. We start every half with the idea that we'll out-offense 3-5 and I guess late in the shot clock clear out for a guard? We have no rhythm to our offense. Few if any hockey assists. I think 8 more wins with a 2-7 January. Hope line-ups (I hope they play to their potential all at the same time) is a poor practice at any level.

I think, due to schedule we may struggle to replicate this year's performance next season. I thought it would take 3 years to get to the playoffs, without knowing Coach Cigs approach to recruiting or the portal. I think we're going to get bigger, stronger, faster. That will make the difference.

We will have to have a strong face of the program, a high level tactician as an assistant and someone that can recruit the region. Al Huss checks alot of those boxes himself. I think Sherron Wkerson would make a dynamite #3 in the Walsh slot. I do look to see us have an official GM named in the off season.

I'm all in on the offensive end with McCollum. The defensive end,,,I thought I caught some Archie concepts. I could be wrong. I'm torn. I love watching that offense. Chris Beard or Ben McCollum????.
