I don't care what happened between Chris Beard and Randi Trew 3 years ago. It's obvious she got roughed up. An elite 8, an NCAA ru, and two conference titles in his first 4 years. That's more than enough to get an interview.

He's a calculated guy. He had a lot of offeres to move up. He was hot after the 38-0 D2 champion and stayed. Again, jmo, but I think he'll build Drake in his own image and move to a spot of his choice with several of his own players. He doesn't seem to be in hurry to rush things.

Whomever mentioned politician/salesman hit it on the head. That will be huge coming out of the gate. I'd like to be excited about a coach with a track record proven, consistent results at a high major. If they've adapted to the NIL era quickly, that would be nice.

One thing mentioned during the Bradley game I thought was interesting. McCollum said at the beginning of the year that a good D2 player could compete at a mid-major D1 school. It gave me pause. How steep would the learning curve be for talent acquisition?

I have been surprised how heated the Beard discussions have gotten. It's been social exercise of sorts hasn't it? I've done some self-reflection. I identify with Beard because we are similar in age. I coached. I was an established drinker, and it earned me night in jail. I had a girlfriend that lived with me that I absolutely wanted to choke the pi55 out of before I could rid of her. Thank Jesus all the tumblers never lined up at the wrong time. I've never harmed a woman before, but it could've happened. Chris Beard has definitely struck a chord. Where's everybody at on Abortion?
