  1. I think we have 7 impactful players. Goode would be 8. Right now it looks like we're doing Goode a favor by letting him play. With a chance to blow a team out and give your team a taste of what that looks like, I think you have to do it. That could've been a 50-25 first half. I like Carlyle but he needs the ball in his hands to get going and that's what he did last year...on a bad team. I think I would start the 2 bigs with Tucker, Galloway and Rice the next game and bring Mgbako and Carlyle in for Balo and Tucker. Play 7 guys, and see how we look, send a message to Mgbako. I'd like to sprinkle in a little bit of Newton if he's available, if not go with 7. Gonzaga we could do the same thing and just match their sub patterns. We're as talented at each position as they are. Now none of this do I see our staff doing.
  2. I think there is a world where we can have success this year and Woody can retire with us on the right track.
  3. Woodys last visit to a high school player as a college coach? I hope.
  4. Woody on the road to see the Viking savior.
  5. It's more than 7 this year from someone that would know. I believe Mr. Yonkman wants IU to be a consistently elite program and he's in it for the long haul. By giving Woody top 5 resources this year it was making the statement that we're a serious player in the modern game of college basketball. So I 100% believe that we will have a serious coaching staff next year and that coach will have the necessary funds to hit the ground running. It's too much culturally and performance like a bad nba franchise right now.
  6. If there is a delay, did someone come in with a last second unexpected high dollar bid. No one outside of the listed 4, but maybe Kansas came in with big boy money.
  7. Trent committed to IU. He's a player that will stick when there's a coaching change.
  8. Did I miss something or has he postponed this?
  9. Chris Beard and his staff would be a monumental improvement over what we have at this time. A partially educated eye can look at the line-up and rotations right now and scout us for the remainder of the year.
  10. I would love to get excited and start deep diving into recruits. But...
  11. Ament has come along way in a year.
  12. I normally feel the same way, but occasionally one comes around and I change my mind. Ithink this is one of those guys.
  13. I think there has been a significant effort made by the staff to bring in a center from the high school ranks. It would be nice to see our name mentioned in the conversation with Mouhamad Sylla or with the Bundallo if he does re-open his recruitment. Reneau back, with a high school kid and the best portal player possible at the position would be a strong strategy I think.
  14. If we can get him maybe they'll play "Jaja Ding Dong" at next year's Hoosier Hysteria.
  15. Wisconsin is pretty much Iceland isn't it? Looks like a fit for them. I bet we've tried to get in on Mouhamad Sylla.
  16. No interest in Cooper Zachary?
  17. I think it's going to be Georgia Tech.
  18. I just wonder what Woody says during these visits in between the words "man and man."
  19. I hope this season reflects our talent. I hope there are enough high water marks for the experiment to be seen as successful so he can appear to be stepping down. We can all voice our personal choices. I look forward to seeing Trent play next year.
  20. Tiller is of the Reneau archetype. Not landing him will probably be much like not landing Moreno. It will be logistic. We won't have the style concerns to blame this one on though. After Mullins and Tiller, we'll be done with 2025 until the spring.
  21. Woody handled Haralson himself. Woody was given a punch list to complete when Pete Yonkman stepped in. Replacing a legacy coach and then doubling the NIL budget would've been a bad look. So Woody and the current staff have been given a level playing field and the majority of the country would say a financial advantage. He hit a homerun in the portal. He rebounded with Tucker, another Devine intervention recruit, but if Sisley is our class followed by a mediocre season I would anticipate Woody "stepping down" and a ton of Bruce Pearl talk.
  22. A couple of things that jumped out at me: Trent has already put on 10-15 lbs in the upper body. He looks like he's already picked up their offense really well and helps direct the other players. Momtverde doesn't have a true pg or legit center for him to play off of and most of the game he was playing pretty much the same position he played at HH. Playing against better competition and the player development program there will advance his game considerably but I'm not sure he's going to get a ton of minutes on the perimeter.
  23. Braylon Mullins, (Barrel Rick) After seeing you play numerous times and even once yelling Ray Allen repeatedly while you were on a heater ; I've been on record as saying after one event that there were better schools for your skillset than IU. I shared that unpopular opinion many times actually. Of the remaining schools though, under the current construction to include recruiting classes, you would be better served to go to IU. Betting on yourself would be taking on the weight of being the face of IU basketball. You are too young to remember the immediate God status of Steve Alford or all of us waiting for Damon to arrive. Staying home to be that is betting on yourself. It's pressure but for the rest of your life you can do no wrong. If you have a bad night everyone will blame the coach. You can drive 100mph on I70, you'll never pay for a drink or a meal again and for a decade half of all male babies in the state will be named Braylon. I know atleast 20 Damon's or Baileys. If it's just basketball....pull a school out of a hat, you're that good, but life and basketball it's IU.
  24. "There’s a workhorse coming to Bloomington. Sisley is most comfortable when he’s in the paint doing the dirty work and grinding through contact, yet still mixing it up to knock down jump shots. He won the battle of attrition on Saturday posting 17 points and nine rebounds in the win for the Florida Eagles. If Montverde is going to be top tier this season, it will be because Sisley is an intricate piece and he’s extremely capable" Reneau, Sisley, Tucker, Carlyle and Rice
