This kids jumper, fundamentally, is nowhere near as bad as Stans. I have faith he will start to hit at a higher clip.
-
It's not OBVIOUSLY much better. KD had them down 3-1 and his play lost his team the series. He had a team fully capable beating Golden State. I respect Durant for making his own decision, but it most certainly puts an asterisk next to his legacy, IF he wins ships in the Bay Area.

Pacers working on a trade with Sacramento to bring Rudy *** to Indianapolis. Please happen.

Lmao.

Yogi is being picked up by the Brooklyn Nets. He will play in the NBA. Troy will never sniff a roster spot IMO.

Lol. I got it.

NBA fans...let's hear YOUR big 3

Future: Porzingas KAT Davis Current: Lebron Curry Durant Honestly I hate putting Curry on this list. He's a GREAT shooter but gets hidden on defense and I'm not convinced he can carry a team of avg joes like I believe Bron and Durant can. Lebron is still the worlds best player. 1 point from leading both teams in every major statistical category for two straight years. Golden State is one of the most insanely well assembled teams I've ever seen. So many bench players that could be starters elsewhere. -
Not gonna lie. This is the thread That interests me the most this summer. Thanks to all who have provided pictures/updates. Seriously.

Although his numbers aren't all that impressive, I love his size, passing ability, and his ability to get into the paint at will. Stroke looks good. Definitely not a project. I have a good feeling he will really blossom in Bloomington. We truly have an elite elite staff when it comes to developing individuals skills and turning weaknesses into strengths. He seems to have a solid foundation of size, skill, and basketball IQ. I'll take kids like this all day. Plus the kid LOVES being a Hoosier. He will be a pleasant surprise, I'm betting.

Setting the tone. Love it. Natural leader.

He's not coming off of the bench bud. We are going to need to be able to shoot the ball from the perimeter and guard the perimeter. He provides for both of these things. Not to mention he is a veteran leader and seasoned/proven ball handler. I'd be surprised if Newkirk and RoJo wasn't our starting guards. Blackmon can sneak in if he can efficiently score the ball and defend at a respectable level.

Rothstein has no business being an authority on college hoops. He misses on some of the most basic analysis. Newkirk was a uptempo guard playing in a slow tempo offense. His best games were games in which the panthers were forced to play at a fast pace. He will fit in nicely. Thankfully, he won't be relied upon being the primary ball handler. A healthy RoJo will be plenty good enough at the point. Newkirk, IMO will be another feather in the Tom Crean development cap. Oozing with physical ability and just needed to be in the right place. Not sure there is another school in the country that can develop individual skill better than Indiana. Now we just need to turn that into postseason success.

Are we talking about the same James Harden that the players voted as the MVP last season? There aren't any options ahead of him in Houston (have you seen them try and score without him?) and he is one of the most dominant offensive players in the game. He's EASILY a top 10-15 player in the game. He is NOT meant to be a bench player.

(2016) PG Jaylen Fisher to TCU
HoosierTrav replied to WilJos3390's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
How do you think that will further impact the relationships between Indiana aau coaches and Crean? I say if you offer a kid a scholly and he accepts it, you sleep in the bed you made, IMHO. -
(2019) SF Keion Brooks Jr. to Kentucky
HoosierTrav replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
He's an absolute STUD!!! Will be able to go wherever he wants by the time it's all said and done. -
Giannis in a landslide IMO. Oladipo has all star caliber potential but is wildly inconsistent with his jumper.

2016 (F) Freddie McSwain Jr. to IU
HoosierTrav replied to Hovadipo's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I remember when we first heard of him, some articles had mentioned that he really came on towards the end of the year and in the postseason tournament. Maybe just a late bloomer? -
IU Basketball: Who is leaving? Who is staying?
HoosierTrav replied to IndyHutch's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I would switch Green and Cujo in terms of position. I think Green is more a PG and Cujo is a prototypical 2 guard. -
BREAKING: Thomas Bryant returning to Indiana!
HoosierTrav replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Some outlets suggest that we are now a top 3 team in the nation with arguably the nations best frontcourt. The #8-10 ranking was assuming TB and Troy left. -

IU Basketball: Who is leaving? Who is staying?
HoosierTrav replied to IndyHutch's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I agree. A frontcourt of OG, DD, and TB would be top 3 in the country. A senior Williams would be nice to have but I wouldn't lose a wink of sleep if he were to decide to go pro. I wish him the best of luck and I hope he has success. Im just really excited about our frontcourt next year with or without him. Juwan Morgan is going to be monster for us as well. Major mismatch, being able to handle and shoot the ball really well. Swiss Army knife.
