watched one of his games and he looks like he's way too good for the D-League. I would have never, in a million years, guessed he would have gotten this good. Great for him. I still think a healthy Verdell would have given us a better shot to beat UK again.

I'm baffled at his ranking. Baffled. He passes the eye test and the paper stats test. Has played well with and against elite talent... Not sure what more they are looking for. DG is the type of PG who wins big in cbb. Glad we got him. I hope he's ready for the bright lights and all of the pressure that can be thrown a young ballers way. If he is, he's going to have the opportunity to prove a lot of people wrong.

But they are tied with us currently. If they win out and we only lose once more (to Iowa), they'd have the 1 game edge.    Unless I'm completely missing something here. 

If 1 of those losses are to Iowa, then no (assuming Iowa wins out).

Agree. The find ways. Just not convinced that they are as good as their ranking. Yes they find a way, but man they do it nearly every contest. And in IU's defense, we have been far better in these situations than in years past.  

Undeserving kids get jobs they dont deserve quite a bit, but is there an example out there as noticeable and high profile as this one? Richard Pitino is one of the worst coaches I've ever seen. he's been bad everywhere. Minnesota deserves every ounce of fail for that hire. 

All of the usual suspects, in terms of winning in March, are starting to hit their stride. Even with all of the parity this year, college basketball is so predictable.    I've actually had a REALLY good year betting CBB.  

People talk all the time about IU playing down to its competition but the true sore thumb, in that regard, is Maryland. They haven't impressed me one bit. They're definitely not as advertised at the beginning of the year.  

Go Cubbies!!!! I'm pumped for this season. Not expecting a World Series by any means, but just excited knowing that we will be in the hunt for a few years. Nothing like Wrigleyville when the Cubs are in contention.

I've argued this before as well. Shouldn't have taken 3 years to have a decent team at Indiana. We also shouldn't be 8 years deep without sniffing a final four birth. If he was capable of being the right guy, he would have proven himself by now.

I'm with you on this. If the job is open, we have a shot at him. Not saying it won't take some convincing, but I think there's an opportunity.
