  1. Same here. I have no complaints at the moment. Actually enjoying watching the team, with how well they are playing. Really hope we see it at the right time.
  2. I cant wait for this matchup...... Going out on a limb here, but I think OG should get the defensive matchup with Uthoff. You need all of length, strength, athleticism, and a disciplined approach to stop Uthoff. No one on Iowa can guard Yogi.
  3. Sometimes I cant tell them apart. I am speaking on rick from the Louisville Courier. He's hot and cold with me. I dont read anything written by his son Alex.
  4. I never in my life thought someone would be able to combine the idiocy of Stephen A. Smith AND Skip Bayless. Albers has found a way to turn himself into some sort of SUPER idiot, kind of like Super Shredder in "TMNT 2: The secret of the ooze". But instead of creating super superior strength, he has found a way to make everyone around him dumber......Albers! If your reading this, I just want to say thank you! You make me and many more alike feel THAT much better about ourselves. If you can write for Scout, then I'm confident that that my idiot brother has a job waiting for him when he decides to leave my mothers basement.
  5. He and his team are fighting like crazy right now. He has dug himself such a deep hole, that his criticisms will remain to be valid until he proves otherwise. Unfortunately for him, these criticisms cannot possibly be refuted in January. Lets have a chat in March, shall we?
  6. Great article by Bozich. I'm so hot and cold with him. At times he hits the nail on the head, while at other times, he really goes out of his way to push a pro Crean agenda. He should stick to these types of articles. He just embarrasses himself and loses credibility (with me) when he tries to defend Crean each time the coach puts himself in a tough spot. Nothing makes me want to ignore a journalist more than when they write with an air of haughtiness. When he makes claims that he and pro-crean factions are the "realistic people", while purposely leaving out legitimate questions that the other side of the aisle present, it just makes me never want to take a word of his seriously.   Sorry for the rant. Good article.
  7. Let them enjoy this moment. They wont have this feeling again, for at least another 20 years.
  8. I'm pretty sure it's just due to the fact that he's an idiot.
  9. They'd be bought and I'd almost guarantee the seats would be filled. Especially with the way we are playing and the fact that we are 6-0 in the B1G right now.
  10. I myself could use some prayers as well. I have decided to leave my current job and will become self employed on Feb 29th. Prayers for success and the resolve to fight through the initial climb would be very much appreciated.
  11. My grandfather went through a similar surgery a year ago. Back to working like a bull. Praying you see similar improvement in him.
  12. Chad Ford..... Dont believe anything he writes this early in the year. By draft time (even on draft day) he will poach everything that Adrian Wojnarowski actually has figured out. I'll worry when the consensus says that he ends up in top half of the 1st.
  13. I cant tell if you are purposely leaving out the 2 final fours he made, prior to being at Uk, or if you dont realize he did this due to the fact that the record books dont show them. Either way, he has shown he was capable of taking 2 high mid majors to a final four. Slimy as all get out but very capable coach.
  14. I guarantee they are saying that about us.
  15. I'll have what your having, sir.
  16. Iowa looks really strong. Here's to hoping they find a way to be Iowa late in the year and blow it.
  17. I wonder what our AdjD would rank if we calculated it after the Blackmon injury?... Maybe we are closer than we think..
  18. I agree. In a year where 1-25 can truly win it all, we have to wait to see what the draw is. There will be teams in the tournament this year that in other years would be considered cupcakes. We end up with a favorable draw, we have the ability to do something special. I said it before but the stars have really aligned for Crean this season, to earn more time at Indiana. The schedule, the roster, the parity in cbb, and the timing of it all, really is a golden opportunity for him.
  19. It's important to give credit where credit is due. Totally agree with that. I wish I did a better job of it honestly.  Your potentially valid criticisms become discredited when you refuse to do this..... Last night Crean out coached Groce hands down. He made some excellent play calls out of timeouts and the team seemed focused from tip to final buzzer.
  20. Isn't this the case the other way around as well? We get the crap kicked out of us by decent teams then go on to beat cupcakes..."told you so." That's how I see it anyways.
  21. My father wouldn't let me play football. I hated him for it at the time but I'm thankful now.
  22. I agree to a point. We looked awful against some very bad teams. Rutgers, Minnesota, Nebraska. That awful play was masked by the fact that we just won the games. That play would have guaranteed losses against the likes of B1G contenders. Another thing that we have to look at, is the fact that we haven't played like this consistently. Wisconsin-O$U-Minn-Illinois.......In terms of how we looked, that was an absolute roller coaster. The ease of schedule just makes our margin for error huge.   I will say that Yogi seems to be on another level. He looks absolutely locked in. Not just in his play, but in his leadership of the team. He is a markedly different player right now.
  23.   This team sure looks like they are bringing it together, and I cant be upset with you for wanting to find silver linings but we have to watch them do this, CONSISTENTLY,  against good teams. We have been prisoners of the moment so many times in the Crean era. How many times have we looked like world beaters, only to fall apart at the most crucial times, under Crean. So many times that I'm not going to be fooled by this run against terrible competition, early in the year. Every ounce of pessimism has been earned. There's no need to call people out for them being wary of making the same mistakes in judgement again.
  24.   You hit on it in your first paragraph. "The RIGHT coach has to be there..." If this is the case, then you get rid of him when the right guy is available. I'm not sold that we cant still land these kids if the right guy takes the job. But even if that was the case and the entire 2017 & 2018 class become sacrificial lambs, I'm all for pulling the trigger anyways. Indiana will continue to produce top notch talent. I say elite 8 or better and HAS to have a top 3 finish in the B1G. I really dont think there is any class that will help Crean win at an elite level. He's had 8 years to recruit and win at a level that Indiana is capable of winning at. That's more than fair imo.
