I'm a Hawks fan but I'll admit that it would be great for hockey if this kid eventually leads the Leafs to a Cup.

OG Anunoby #1 Draft Prospect in Big Ten
HoosierTrav replied to Beachfront Property's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Agreed! The guys at DraftExpress and The Vertical are absolute pros. Doesn't get much better than them. And if we are talking about respect amongst peers, NBA GM's, scouts, & coaches, these guys are at the top of the list. -
Indiana defeats MSU! Postgame Thread

I'll always like a comment that encourages the sneaking in of alcohol to keep a buzz going.....always. -
This is Tom Crean's most well rounded team he's had at Indiana. Back to Back B1G Champions Elite 8 or better

(2018) SG Austin Boucher
HoosierTrav replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
I've heard that the kid is a good kid but his dad is an absolute head case. This comes from parents of some of his aau teammates. -
Juwan Morgan is going to be a breakout player on the national scene IMHO.

(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS

Agreed! Just playing the odds at this point. -
Notre Dame is a really young and inexperienced team on defense. They have a lot of talented young guys.

The truth hurts.

(2017) PF Clifton Moore Jr. to IU

I love Green. Agree with the rest. Green is a really good defensive guard. -
Wow. Slice out at St. John's. Big time recruiter.

Lindys must have Charles Barkely providing the intel. Way off. -
LMAOOOOO

Completely agree. Vastly overlooked. Guy is going to be very difficult to keep on the bench. Defends and rebounds so well. Can knock down jumpers. I love our frontcourt. This is the best frontcourt we've had at IU in quite a long time.

They have to start somewhere. Dolce was widely considered Nike's top designer. This is big whether it fits your narrative or not. And it's not just that they hired designers. The corporate headquarters has FINALLY done something that they haven't in their entire history. That's allow US headquarters to handle US market strategy completely on their own. Yes they are losing some contracts but they will be fine. Adidas has immense resources and will be just fine with the correct focus on the US. It's ok to pull the reigns back and admit you may be jumping the gun. There is nobility in that. It makes you look really argumentative when you say that "Adidas doesn't understand US trends." Then follow that up with "Designers. Awesome." What do you think design teams are for?
-
Did you read the article at all? Good grief kid.

Adidas made a power move to revive its brand. We will be fine. Shoe company influence is a real thing but not as big as most believe. I'd say the influence is most powerful for the top 3-5 players in the country.

I think a lot of people are underestimating De'Ron Davis' ability to start right away. I understand that it's hard for some to picture him starting over JM, but DD is REALLY good. We can absolutely dominate in the post with him and TB getting run together...... What a problem to have eh? Too many studs in the frontcourt.

(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS
HoosierTrav replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I disagree with you this time Fleek. His size is a non issue bc it's very clear what position he's projecting to play and he's already a prototypical 2 guard. He's extremely polished offensively. Can score at all levels. Is a plus defender. Is a great rebounder for his position as well. He's a one and done IMO. If he continues maturing physically, he's a top 5 pick. Blackmon was a great high school player but had obvious holes in his game. Not to mention he was never a big winner in HS. Romeo has zero noticeable flaws and is dominating 4a competition in Indiana (as a soph). He's the real deal. -

This doesn't explain Markelle Fultz and the other lotto picks in years past. I do agree that we are no longer a prime destination for the elite of the elite. I can't say for certain why that's the case. My personal opinion is that it has to do with the allure of playing for a particular coach. Tom Crean is a good coach and an elite developer of individual skill. He is not an elite winner though. Hard to expect a kid with every option to pick Tom Crean over Tom Izzo, Coach K, Bill Self, Roy Williams, Rick Pitino and John Calipari. -
He'll be one of the top breakout stars in CBB this year. Everyone talking about TB and OG. Juwan could have a better year than both IMHO.

Have a feeling he's ours as soon as we offer. Seems enamored with IU.
