  1. Deron Davis is our best post player and it's not even close.
  2. As bad as I feel about it, I do too. It's an absolutely awful brand of basketball.
  3. #MakeIUBasketballGreatAgain
  4. Yeah but what are the odds that we hit the powerball twice?
  5. "IU rant of the day: # of IU players that play 30+ min. per game: 0 Duke: 4 UK: 3 Nova: 3 UCLA: 4 Good coaches play their BEST players"
  6. He seems like the flavor of the month to me. I need to see more sustained success from him. He certainly is a far better tactician than CTC.
  7. But can he recruit at a high level to have that chance though? I'm not sold he's capable of being a homerun hire for us.
  8. You're ignoring the fact that opposing coaches are going to use this to their advantage. It wouldn't be the first time.
  9. There are a lot of folks that are being openly critical of CTC tonight. Many of them are people who I could of swore I'd never see be critical towards him.
  10. Yes. At this point, we know know exactly what we are getting. Many excuses were made for the man early and throughout. Now there is nearly a decade of consistent data that can reliably help us forecast what our ceiling will be. What he is, isn't good enough for this job. If the university makes it ok, then I no longer support the team with my dollars or viewership.
  11. They use an auto responder to send everyone the same reply.
  12. Not sure I agree that Glass should go. He has accomplished some great things at IU. I will say that it's really scary to trust him with the next hire. If he can be the guy that made the mistake of extending Crean, then he's most certainly capable of botching the next hire. Not exactly the best judgement/business/basketball decision. I'm inclined to want to give him a shot to redeem himself on the next coaching hire.
  13. I think he summed it up perfectly.
  14. Opposing coaches and hs/aau coaches within the state have themselves a smorgasbord of reasons to steer kids away from IU.
  15. When you're entire career shows you have teams that defend poorly, it stops being about the players and starts being about the most common denominator. Nothing pisses me off more than someone who constantly preaches but doesn't walk the walk. Expecting a Crean led team to defend well and not turn the ball over is purely delusional.
  16. I'm seriously at a loss. I can't understand how this talented a team can be this pathetic in so many fundamental areas. It's either coaching or the players IQ and work ethic.
  17. Something major HAS to be going on behind the scenes with this team. They have completely folded.
  18. Long live this thread.
  19. That's a big gamble on a maybe. Izzo doesn't have a great track record for churning out great coaches.
  20. You are correct.
  21. I have no idea why anyone would want Dane Fife over Tom Crean. Dane Fife didn't win at a low major, hasn't proven he could win at a mid major, let alone take one of college basketballs most demanding jobs. That hire would be extremely reckless. Keep Crean if those are our options. I do like Collins but I want our next hire to be a homerun. Fife is such a dud.
  22. I believe it was a quote from Crean, citing that Wisconsin was ranked by pomeroy as a top 10 team, in regards to experience, while also citing that IU is ranked in the 300's. He posted the exact Crean quote then posted "#LosersLimp"
  23. We are in no man's land IMHO. Outside of Brad Stevens (who isn't leaving Beantown anytime soon), who is the no brainer guys we can go after, land, and be 100% positive that he can sustain elite level success? Indiana and Kentucky have to be the hardest places to coach in the nation. Consider all of the different elements of pressure the coach is subjected to. You may be able to say Indiana is the most difficult when you consider the expectation to recruit our state well.
  24. Agree. Stuck between a rock and a hard place.
