Won't make a difference. Doesn't change their situation much, if at all IMO. Certainly not close to the situation Donovan anticipated when taking the job.

Still think Billy D is a long shot. I don't think I can handle getting geeked over a Billy D rumor, only to find out that we hire some underwhelming, unproven mid tier guy. I'll temper my expectations, personally. If we do land Donovan, I'll be the first to flip the fu** out.

I can't describe with words how much I actually hate DD. He is an embarrassment. When people say "he tells it like it is" I want to drive my car into a frozen lake. The guy is completely self absorbed, thinks he knows EVERYTHING, and contradicts nearly everything he says. I wish he would disappear.

This season doesn't have the same feel as 2 years ago. I don't think folks care enough to show up and boo at this point.

I'm really nervous about how this is going to unfold. I'm 100% confident that Crean is gone but I'm really worried that Glass will be making the decision to hire the coach on his own. Yeah, he's a great fundraiser but I'm not sold on him being able to make a great hire. This next hire is vitally important.

I actually love the idea of Collins at IU. It's hard for anyone to win at Northwestern. He's recruited well and turned them around in short order. He's one of those guys that I view as a "homerun" in regards to young guys on the rise. I feel like Collins and Archie could really do some damage at Indiana. I'd prefer we did everything we possibly could to lure Donovan to IU but I'd be happy and reinvigorated with Collins as the next man up.

If Indiana landed Donovan, I'd change my avatar to Donovan for life.

Explain to me how he is NOT the right answer at Indiana. Everything about his resume in college (and now the NBA) screams homerun hire. I agree that he's not likely to coach Indiana but I'm not convinced that it's due to his not wanting to entertain the idea of taking this job......and seriously.... Crean and Sampson's names aren't in the same galaxy as Billy Donovan's.

I'm really concerned that Glass may botch the next hire. There is literally zero precedent to suggest that he can make a big splash hire. He is a wonderful AD but I question his judgement. That Crean extension was awful and completely unnecessary. Seems that Crean finessed him into the extension. Not saying he can't make the big hire. Just saying I'm nervous bc I haven't seen him make any other big splashes outside of fundraising.

I'd prefer that he be sent on his way respectfully. Firing him and embarrassing him after cleaning our program up might send the wrong message or put a bad taste in the mouths of possible successors.

Looks like finished up as the #80 recruit w/ESPN and the #100 recruit w/ 247..... so many coaches get more out of far less......this just pisses me off more when I hear these clueless media talking heads talk about OG's injury. They provide zero context and have no pulse on our program.

We were there 2 years ago. Now we are in full blown apathy mode, which is worse.
