  1. Maybe that's what Glass is waiting for?
  2. Me too man. I'm going to miss him quite a bit.
  3. I agree. Outside of the O$U game, we haven't really looked that great...and against really bad/mediocre teams to boot. I'm going into the rest of the season with literally zero expectations. I cannot handle getting all worked up like I did last season and the beginning of this one.
  4. Iowa under Fran Mccaffery is much like Indiana under Tom Crean. Both have reputations for strong play early and late season swoons. I'll believe Iowa and Indiana are contenders when I see them play their best ball towards the end of the season. Not trying to be one of THOSE guys, but we've seen it so many times. Not as easily convinced this time around.
  5. Just a guess really. I try to base it off of what I've read about the family. They dont seem to place as much emphasis on money, as they do things, like job security, friendships, environments that their children can thrive in, and in Brads case, a desire to take on certain challenges. I'm not saying that money has nothing to do with it. I'm really just saying that we aren't just going to back a brinks truck up to their home and win them over. It's not like they are earning peanuts.  We have to sell them on much more than a salary increase. Brad left Eli Lilly to make less than $15,000 to chase a challenge/dream. Sell him on the challenge of restoring Indiana Basketball to it's past glory. Sell him on having the ability to once again have a hand in changing boys into men. Sell him on the fact that he has been unanimously chosen by the entire fan base, not just the admin, on being the one man who is capable of mending our fences to the degree they need mended. Then offer him a salary that reflects our confidence in him and doesn't come off as pure desperation (although that's exactly what we are.)
  6. I'm shocked that people are shocked at Guy's selection. Has proven that he is elite against elite competition for the last 2 summers. He will be a star at UVA. He's the kind of Indiana boy that would have left IU or Purdue a legend.
  7. If I had to bet, I'd wager that money is the least important of things to be considered when making this move.
  8. Iowa is very good this season. I agree. The issue is that they were hot garbage for 3+ years prior to this year. Certainly not in the convo when discussing who's been having sustained success. Let's stop pretending that Iowa's formula is some formula to emulate bc its not in today's current cbb climate. This years team does a great job at proving your point but just go back the last 3 years (or more) and you will find that even though we can't stand Crean and his teambuilding approach, it has had higher levels of success than what Iowa has been implementing. To win in CBB, year in and year out,  you have to have a good mix of 3-4 year guys with elite level 1-2 year kids.   And why has it taken those great midwestern kids at Iowa 4 years to have success? The east coast produces winners. Period! Its up to the coach to make sure that they can fit within their system and culture.
  9. It sounds so brash to say but it has proven itself to be true.
  10. You're gonna love it. I'll never forget my first game in AH. Can't wait until my son is old enough to share that experience with him.
  11.   I was just going to commend him on owning it. You beat me to it.
  12.   I'd be shocked if he's our coach that long (2019-2020.)  He needs a miracle run here soon to keep his job IMO.
  13.   What did Jerry Meyers do to wreck our program? I've never heard this one before.
  14. Agreed. Looks like an alpha dog out on the floor. I'm happy with the pick up.
  15. Saying that out loud is like singing a sweet sweet symphony
  16. . Yes. I'd be shocked if we didn't.
  17. The entire nation will be getting familiar with O.G. today.
  18. Lets all make a mental note of what page this is on. I bet you are right.
  19.   I see us finishing at 11-7 in conference.
  20. I agree that we have to watch this play out. Last year the media and many fans were singing Crean's praises and shaming his opposition after the Maryland win. Then we went on to play one of the worst stretches of basketball that I've ever watched Indiana play. He has a long way to go. He has to be judged by the season in it's entirety.  I will say this: Crean has a GOLDEN opportunity to save his job at Indiana. The insanely favorable schedule, paired with the fact that there is truly not even 1 elite team, really opens the door for him. It also means that its time to produce some results. There will be no other direction to deflect blame if this season becomes a failure.  Time to get it done.
  21. I agree with this. I'm not so sure frosh Oladipo gets that many minutes on this team.
  22. It could very well have to do with your blood sugar. If you ask your family physician for a blood glucose meter w/ test strips, he/she should be able to get you one for free. It's useful to have. I keep one on me usually. My father was inflicted with type 2 diabetes right around my age (29). Take care of yourself man. Again, praying for answers one way or the other.
