Nice. The Quincy Shootout, which is a really terrific showcase event even if Quincy, Illinois is kind of a toilet, just announced that Iowa Prep is playing there this year. So whether Diane ends up at IU or not I’ll get to see him at least once up close. Looks like the Placide twins and Junior County will be there as well.

They only internalize Woody, forgetting the Archie era which in my mind was way worse. IPFW. ISU. Very long losing streak. I believe 0-7 against PU. Anyone who doesn't think he was worse, has some sort of recency bias. I don't care if Woody's team's underachieved, the Archie era was worse.

France gave our USA team all it wanted but we pulled out a 70-65 win to advance to Saturday's semifinal. I believe we'll face Spain. CTM road her starters as Zania only saw 1 min. of action and Sydney Douglas and Addison Bjorn didn't play at all. Douglas has been at the end of the bench with Zania in the tournament but Bjorn has been starting and the fact she didn't play at all maybe suggests some kind of injury. But that's speculation on my part.

We've been 3 deep today for Isaiah Hill, Ethan Taylor and now watching Alex Moody and Jordan Smith vs. Junior County. Rod Clark was in California on Thursday with Drew Adams at the 3SSB event and flew back to Atlanta on the redeye so we could be a show of force today. Hopefully, the staff (and us fans) get rewarded for the recruiting effort they're making.

Not sure how much of a thing it, probably not nothin’, but top 10 CG who wants to be a PG Jason Crowe is announcing today and speculation is that it’s either UK or Mizzou. I can tell you Mizzou folks think it’s Mizzou though they certainly don’t have the money UK’s got. Should he pick UK that could well factor into the Rippey family’s thinking.

Not sure how indicative it actually is, but Allmond said he plans to announce before the early period and so far hasn’t scheduled any other visits.

Some people internalized the Woody era more than they realized. Woodys main thing was blocking shots at the rim at all costs. For as bad as people wanted him gone, it’s funny to hear people fret about the same things he would have. Of course your analysis is correct. We can find tons of examples (our rivals to the north last year being a prime one). But it’ll take time for people to finally free themselves of the old ways.

Sam Alexis is a strong rebounder and has some solid shot blocking numbers, albeit in brief action at Florida, and against lesser competition at Chattanooga. It will be interesting to see how much CDD uses him.

As long as there's an effort to get boards I think they'll be fine and I don't think there's going to be an issue of lack of effort with this group. Probably won't get a ton of offensive rebounds though.

We have a guy who was on last years title winning team. We have a guy who won Sun Belt POY last year and lead his team to the tournament (Louisville's best player last year was the reigning Sun Belt POY). Devries and Enright have been on some very good Drake teams. I fail to see the difference in my opinion.

Louisville was projected to finish 8th in an already bad ACC in the preseason last year. I'm not sure what separates Louisville's roster last year from IU's roster this year? Louisville had a ton of really good mid-major guys and a few good, but not stellar P5 guys. I'm just not sure how Snow can draw that comparison yet?
