Boo hoo, because I have expectations that are a lot higher than possibly not making the NIT.  Boo hoo, because I'm sick of a stagnant offense.  Boo hoo, because I'm sick of constant unforced turnovers.  Boo hoo, because I'm sick of the team not being able to utilize bigs.  Boo hoo, because I'm sick of the lip service politician speak from Crean after games.   You can't address the points, so you resort to saying we're whining.  Great for discussion.

No one is pouting.  We're just saying that Crean isn't doing a good job this year, and really he's not.  This team isn't well coached, and it's painfully obvious during the games.  Just because certain posters on another board want to shout "Sweet 16" from the mountain tops and want people to believe that Crean is totally incapable of drawing up anything than a flawless gameplan doesn't mean it's not true.  We are undisciplined, sloppy, and at times flat out lazy those are not signs of a well coached team.  Those things cost us the game at Illinois and close only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades, those things are the reason we are 0-2 in conference right now instead of 1-1, those things are the reason we don't have a single good win on the year, those things are the reason we're projected to be two wins short of NIT eligibility when BTT begins.   We're beyond the point of saying "rebuild" and a down year should never be this pathetic.  This team has problems, and youth is only part of it.  We're saying Crean needs to step it up.  That's not pouting, that's making an observation.

Conversationally, I think it's worth posting the business viewpoint.   IU was a business that was down and out.  In the toilet, in the gutter, whatever it may be.  Tom Crean was called upon to right the ship, turn the boat around, (insert your cliche).  He has done that.  As the CEO the past 5-6 years, he has brought the program back to relevance.    Now we are in a new cycle in this business life (which Tom Crean receives total credit for bringing us to).  Is he the CEO that we want moving forward?  Is someone else?  That's for Fred Glass and the 'Board of Directors' to decide.    Personally, I'm in the boat of giving him a little more time.  Two years (next year and the year following).  To show me that he can bring us over the hump.  If he can't prove it by that time, it'll be 8 yrs in and I'd be willing to move on.   Just my $0.02.

    Yeah, after 4 pages of this, what I get is that Btown Banners has its doubters, but nobody wants to see him gone at this point, unless I missed a post somewhere. So I guess the answer to the OP is, nobody here. Not sure it matters, I don't think he goes anywhere for 3-4 years, regardless.

It's about time this team got into the top 25. I notice their game tonight at Purdue has been postponed due to the crappy weather. The ladies will put a beat down on Ohio State Saturday. BTN will be in AH for the game. Boy, I hope my power is back on by then.

I've had a soft spot for IUwbb since the first Hoosier Hysteria. We had such passion, but just not a lot to back it up. Coach Jack was a decent motivator, but the recruiting was iffy. When Coach Miller was hired, I was cautiously optimistic. IUwbb is kind of a difficult sell. Very impressed with his demeanor, and obviously the progress made. Congrats!! We can't feed the post, we can't take care of the ball, our half court offense sucks because no one moves.  Why do those sound familiar?  Oh, right, because those exact same problems have plagued us every single year with Crean.  Different years, different rosters but identical problems with all of them.  Yeah, it sounds like the problem is the common denominator between the teams.     Maybe, just maybe, people are sick of it.  Maybe people are sick of the same problems plaguing the team every year.  Maybe people (I know I sure am) are sick of hearing Crean say "I need to do better" and then nothing changes, sick of him saying "the players aren't listening" when identical problems have plagued every team in his tenure.   There's a reason I don't post as much on the other board, I'm sick of the sunshine pumpers constantly lowering the bar just so they don't have to admit that this team isn't well coached.  So they don't have to admit that coaching is part of the problem this team has.  So they don't have to admit that the critics were right when they said his system doesn't move or utilize bigs.

Probably not. It is a lot easier to bitch and moan when we are losing. I was not expecting a top 25 team this year. I thought we might be "also receiving votes." I am not even one who thinks that missing the NCAA's is the end of the world. But there are a number of holes in his coaching and it can be seen even when he has a good team. IU was fun to watch the last couple of years, they probably will be next year or the year after too. Winning may slow or even stop the bitching, but the problems are still there.

If, if, if.  That's an awfully big word.  If my aunt had a sack she'd be my uncle.  'If' is meaningless.  Close doesn't count in basketball, we lost plain and simple.  It was how we lost, especially against UI.  23 friggin' turnovers should never be acceptable, period.  The only reason that game went into overtime, the only reason we didn't win with a comfortable margin, is because we turned it over every other time down the court.  Being close wasn't so much what the team is capable of, it was how awful we are right now.   We shouldn't be struggling this bad.  Bordering on not even making the NIT, THE NIT FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, should be considered unacceptable even in a "down year".  Stop lowering the bar, stop making excuses.  This team is underachieving right now.  There is no reason to not even have a win against a Pomeroy top 100 team at this point in the season.

We didn't beat ND or Illinois. Who cares what the post would be if we had beat them.   People are having issues because this team still doesn't look very good on the court for anything but a 3-4 minute stretch here and there. We said at the beginning of the year to give them time to figure it out and get better. Well we are now halfway through the season and there hasn't been a ton of signs of significant improvement. Most are saying they are willing to give him until the end of next season, with what we believe we are going to have. But still even with returning players including Noah and incoming players, saying they will be a top 10 caliber team seems like a bit of a stretch given what we have seen this year

  Its called being realistic. Did you really think we would be a top 25 team after losing 4 starters? I sure as hell didn't. We've played in 2 Big Ten games this year and you all think the sky is falling. If we beat Notre Dame and Illinois half of all the posts on this board would be different.

Where will you be if Noah does not come back? Seems that the only way we are a top 10-15 team is if he is back. He is projected to be a lottery pick now so I would venture to say there is a very good chance he will not be back. You can point to Cody coming back as an example sure but the team Cody came back to was one that was on the upswing. If Noah does not come back will you become a "Sally" too?
