  1. Past hour
  2. An event like that is surely streamed somewhere.
  3. Can’t lie, if I’d realized he hadn’t signed yet I might have been a touch nervous.
  4. FWIW, here was Baylor's schedule when they represented the US last year at the world games. I'm not sure if there will be less games since these are "America" Games. This seems like the first edition of the games in this format that I can tell.
  5. Hoosiers will be playing in Peru - no, not Peru, IN, but that country in South America July 20-Aug 1. https://247sports.com/college/indiana/article/agents-to-peegscom-indiana-international-trip-to-peru-284063743/?fbclid=IwY2xjawRley1leHRuA2FlbQIxMQBicmlkETFwOFNBcEFodjBVUTVOdU5mc3J0YwZhcHBfaWQQMjIyMDM5MTc4ODIwMDg5MgABHpRCgzGL8p0Iuhw-SSAUqVeGXpwkgsfMLbvPvITr7OF46_acfChSjNwZrdtR_aem_YR8GbQXHQ78oOLgwLtjTQQ
  6. Today
  7. Good rebounding rate and a spectacular block rate. Not sure how he'd hold up if he had to play extended minutes but would be an exceptional rotation piece.
  8. Have had my eye on Miller for a while. Strictly a PnR finisher and rim protector and a fouling machine, but given what they’d be looking for here that’s fine with me. And another guy with multiple years.
  9. Looks like Ja'Quay is off the board to Portland State.
  10. Mercer is in the last year of his contract. I'm guessing we'll have a new coach next season.
  11. This season was over almost immediately. That stinks the worst because I’ll usually tune in a watch some games if we are near tournament worthy. This team was immediately not that despite preseason rankings indicating we’d be close. I don’t pretend to know what the right move is for Indiana baseball in this case, but it feels like a change is needed.
  12. I've mostly ignored the baseball team the last couple of seasons. Any chance IU makes a coaching move now, or are we in for another forgetable season next year?
  13. #4 seed https://bigten.org/sb/article/59197/
  14. Villanova transfer guard Malachi Palmer has committed to Minnesota. The 6-6 sophomore scored 15 points against Seton Hall this season and reached double figures in six games on the year.
  15. Yesterday
  16. Here is where different bigs mentioned here that are still available would rank IU's roster. Note that currently IU is ranked 25 by Torvik Junjie Wang, San Francisco -- improves team, but no ranking change (25) Devin Williams, FAU -- up 3 spots (22) Jordan Burks, UCF -- up 3 spots (22) Aaron Bradshaw, Memphis -- up 3 spots (22) Musa Sagnia, NC State -- no improvement Steven Olowoniyi, Oregon State -- no improvement David Fuchs, San Francisco -- up 1 spot (24) can not check either Conrad Luczyski or Ja'Quay Randolph since they were D2 last year Okechukew Okeke, Albany -- no improvement Yaak Yaak, Oregon State -- no improvement Just for ***** and giggles, Allen Graves would move up IU 10 spots (15) Robert Miller, LSU -- up 3 spots (22) Austin Mauer, Seattle -- up 1 spot (24) Hamad Mousa, Cal Poly -- up 3 spots (22) I can check others if names are thrown out. IMO, Burks would be hard get -- he's coming off a season of 13.3 ppg and 4.8 rpg with a power 5 team. Allen Graves was just thrown in to see what could be done with unlimited $ for the next spot. The need for another big right now is to get someone in to make the floor higher mainly and raise the ceiling slightly. There HAS to be at least one more capable big in case of injury and there an argument that should obtain two more bigs to protect from injury. Y'all know I love Devin Williams case for a roster spot but I think he might be overpricing himself. Aaron Bradshaw would be a safe pick. Ja'Quay Randolph put up monster numbers at the D2 level but no idea how he translates; he did play three games against low D1 schools last season (Kennesaw State, Citadel, and South Carolina Upstate) and averaged 11.3 pts and 8.7 rebounds in those three games. Robert Miller put up 6 points and 4 rebounds in 20 mpg at LSU and is another safe pick.
  17. FYI, adding Williams to Indiana's roster on Torvik moves IU from 25 to 22. That said, the fact that he has had P5 teams recruiting him but he hasn't signed seems to say he's either asking for above market NIL or above market playing time.
  18. This guy is a beast but watch Paul Osaruyi. If we got him to reclass. He's at another level athletically.
  19. I usually don't give 2 Fuchs, but I would take the kid from San Francisco! I like the rebounding numbers and his name!
  20. And Northwestern wins the weekend series winning 9-6 today. Both teams scored a run in the first inning but NW scored 5 in its second and we had to play catch up from there and despite scoring 3 in our 8th we couldn't complete a comeback. NW had 12 hits (4-HR) off 4 IU pitchers plus we issued 8 BB. We could manage just 6 hits.; Hanley had 3 RBI. To add insult to injury -- our first series loss at Northwestern since 2006. Next weekend we play at PUke and the following weekend is the regular season finale (mercifully) hosting Illinois.
  21. UK fans have to be on suicide watch.
  22. Women end the regular season with a weekend sweep of Illinois winning today's game 7-3. Hooks started on Senior Day and went 5.1 innings giving up 5 hits, 2 BB and 1 run. Mannon and Troutt wrapped it up limiting the Illini to a total of 7 hits on the day. We had 9 hits with Josie Bird the only Hoosier to get more than one. But one of hers was a big one, a 3-run HR in the bottom of the 1st inning. And that followed an Ally VanBrandt solo HR. When the inning ended, we had a 5-0 lead and never looked back. Big Ten softball tournament scheduled for May 6-9 at College Park, MD. https://bigten.org/sb/article/59197/
  23. Dorn might end up being a piece we wish we kept when all said and done. His ability to stretch the floor in a 2 big lineup may be missed.
