  1. Past hour
  2. Never imagined after all these years I'd be impatiently waiting for IU football to kickoff, and IU basketball being a distant second. Hoping the success in football, and bb recruits seeing our massive fanbase filling up huge stadiums, swings the pendulum a little.
  3. Really good football player
  4. Today
  5. Love the clip. A little route that I've begun to run again this last week has a name on a mailbox something like NOWAYSKI which always brings a smile to my face thinking about the multiple tanks it requires to take this Dude down. Rock on in Steeler Town Riley.
  6. Yesterday
  7. Nice piece on Fernando. The video sounds as if there is no rush and that there is time for Mendoza to completely grasp new concepts. https://www.nfl.com/news/fernando-mendoza-took-more-snaps-under-center-during-rookie-minicamp-than-he-did-in-three-seasons-of-college
  8. Would be major BS if they can’t get all SSAH STHs into Lucas Oil (and they should get prime seats), but I’m not a basketball ticket holder so I’m not sure.
  9. I read somewhere that the Kentucky game at Lucas Oil was ticketed as an IU home game. Does anyone know, does that mean it will be included in the season ticket package? (I'm guessing no) My season ticket renewal came in tonight - listed at $67 / game. Value proposition gets harder and harder to justify, particularly if the home non-con slate is 100% cupcakes.
  10. Indiana needs The Splash, part 2. Juice this roster up a level. Come on Carr, ya know you want to.
  11. Or have a fan blowing on the court
  12. Karaban was in much better shape than Tucker and hustled much harder. Measurements are pretty similar. Karaban is 6'8 220 with a 6'11 wingspan. Tucker is 6'7 220ish and can't find his wingspan. Karaban is more efficient and a smarter player IMO... much more capable defender. They averaged about the same volume of shots. If you put Tucker on UConn instead of Karaban it would be a significant downgrade IMO.
  13. I disagree, I think Tucker could have been a Karaban type on a different roster. Karaban was never the #1 or #2 option, and those teams always put a big rebounder / shot blocker at the 5 next to him (Sanogo, Clingan, Reed). Bailey was the wrong style of player to pair with Tucker. Alexis was the right profile, just a bit small to be your primary 5.
  14. Yeah we aren’t spending 4+ million on a player when the staff is looking for practice bodies. Would need to go Euro to find a difference maker at this point imo. Who is this years Hannes Steinbach?? And where has he signed already?
  15. ... and one big guy on the floor at any given time. They had Sanogo / Clingan, Clingan / Johnson, Johnson / Reed, Reed / Reibe. Pretty sure each pair literally never shared the court with each other. We are going to start two 7 footers this year. We just need some more depth. Size and length are much improved
  16. The UConn men’s basketball teams that won the national title in 2023 and 2024 were exceptionally large and dominant in size compared to the rest of the NCAA. Both championship runs were fueled by substantial height, length, and frontcourt depth.
  17. Women will participate in the Fort Myers Tipoff the week of Thanksgiving. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-womens-basketball-to-play-mississippi-state-and-georgia-tech-in-fort-myers-tipoff/
  18. I understand where you're coming from, but Carr is a scouter of talent/fit, it's what he did for the P's and bringing in the right players from the portal -- not just picking guys ranked well in the portal (like Woodson did, regardless of fit) is a type of scouting. It's how their games relate to what staff wants to run, how they compliment each other, how their styles fit. But yes the work isn't done (imo) let's see how their complete roster pans out.
  19. Momcilovic? Yes, the single best player in the portal would be a great fit at IU. and for every single team in college basketball.
  20. That would be a near perfect fit. The possibility is seemingly so remote, I’m not sure it’s worth really discussing, though. I don’t remember what the scenario was with UM and Landenborg last year but I guess I got the sense Dusty had both a soft commitment from him should he come back and some reason to believe it was a real possibility he could drop from the draft.
  21. https://stockrisers.com/s/596/top-50-junior-jlon-lyons-discusses-his-recruitment-development IU one of the schools he talks about.
  22. I agree that'd be a nice way to round out the roster. Probably splitting hairs a bit but I don't really view the portal haul as a scouting win per se. Talent acquisition win, definitely. But each of the 6 portal guys so far come from P5 schools and we paid good money to land them, so to me, doesn't necessarily show scouting chops. IF they can find a diamond in the rough or help a couple decent players become solid players, that would show real scouting and development chops and drastically improve the outlook for next year / building on next year's team without as much roster turnover. The ratings are nice but their keep will be earned or not on the floor. Looking forward to year 1 part 2 lol
  23. Think he's a done deal to Florida if/when that happens.
