(2020) SG Trey Galloway To IU

I would really like for IU to get both Galloway and Leal. So much better than given credit. In my eyes, they are perfect for Archie’s style of play. Tough on the defensive end, understand how to move without the ball, understand how to move the ball and both can shoot the 3. These are the kids that would otherwise go to Purdue and kick our a$$ for 3-4 years. Honestly, I’m over the shiny objects. If we can fill the roster with kids like this and sprinkle in the TJD’s, Romeo’s, and occasional high 4-5 star, we will compete year in and year out.

(2020) SG Trey Galloway To IU

I’ve been a big fan of Galloway for a while but just watched his latest video and I am even more convinced he is exactly what we need. Effort, basketball smarts, moves off the ball as well as anyone on our current roster... sign him up! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Blue Demons that’s pretty close to Blue devils. About as close as the NCAA will ever get to punishing them at least

Last year was the perfect formula for hyped social media. Prospective B1G POY in Morgan along with a top 10 5* freshman in Romeo. It was really easy to get the fever up. This year there isn’t nearly as much to hype coupled with fan reluctance. I think they are smart to keep a lower profile this year. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Brian Snow's Adidas Gauntlet top performers include some Indiana players of interest - Name: Jalen Bridges Position: Small Forward Class: 2020 247Sports Composite Ranking: No. 83 Recruiting: Ohio State, Xavier, Pittsburgh, Indiana, Illinois, West Virginia, Marquette Bridges started off the summer playing well despite not having his outside shot working. As things went along in Ladera, his outside shot began to come back to him, and that made him an absolute nightmare to defend. Bridges hit threes, got to the rim some off the dribble, and then also used his size and length to rebound and be solid on the defensive end. He can play either forward spot, though is probably best as a stretch forward. However, on defense he is gifted enough to switch screens, and be a very versatile piece to the puzzle for any team. Name: Anthony Leal Position: Shooting Guard Class: 2020 247Sports Composite Ranking: No. 96 Recruiting: Indiana, Stanford, Northwestern, Cincinnati, Xavier Leal and his teammates suffered a surprising loss in the first round, but then things picked up in a big way. Known as a very good shooter, Leal got going from deep, and looked extremely confident in his perimeter jumper. Leal made numerous threes, the final two days of the event, but he also showed more than that. A solid athlete with good length and a very strong frame, Leal got after it on the defensive end, and also finished going to the rim off of drives. Just an average passer, Leal looked more comfortable than ever when getting into the paint and making plays for his teammates. Overall, it was an excellent close to the summer for Leal. Name: Jordan Geronimo Position: Small Forward Class: 2020 247Sports Composite Ranking: Not Ranked Recruiting: Texas A&M, Iowa, Indiana, Penn State, Providence, Virginia Tech, Boston College A true July breakout performer, Geronimo again showed why he is reeling in high-major offers at a high rate. While he can be inconsistent, Geronimo has all the physical tools you could want in a hybrid forward. He stands around 6-foot-6, has excellent length, is a very good athlete, and then also has the ability to make shots from deep. The next step for Geronimo is to be more consistent with his production, and that definitely seems like an attainable goal. With back to back impressive showings, look for Geronimo to make a huge leap in the next batch of rankings.

Jon Rothstein The NCAA has suspended DePaul's Dave Leitao for the first three games of the 2019-20 season for failing to promote an atmosphere of compliance, per release. Blue Demons' program has also been placed on probation for three years. https://www.ncaa.org/about/resources/media-center/news/depaul-men-s-basketball-associate-head-coach-violated-ncaa-ethical-conduct-rules

That and they hyped up last season so much and then fell flat on their face. That also isn’t a good look.

BUMP TIME RANK N/A - NATIONAL - STATE 34 POSITION TREY GALLOWAY 6'3" | 180 LBS | SG CULVER ACADEMIES CULVER, IN CLASS OF 2020 UNDECIDED Why him?: We debated whether or not Galloway should make his way back into the rankings when we updated them in late June. I wasn't so sure he had earned his way in. I'm pretty sure I was wrong. Galloway does a little bit of everything you would like to see a guard do and he plays with a tremendous motor. It's hard to think we won't be able to find a spot for him in the next update to the 2020 Rivals150. Recruitment: Indiana is thought to be the leader with Iowa, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State among the others involved. Bossi awards Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Is it just me or has the Indiana MBB social media presence gone down hill compared to last summer? Seems like there was so much more content last summer but maybe most of that happened in Aug and Sept and my memory just believes it to have been all last summer.

Staying in Italy but switching teams per the Crimson Quarry -- James Blackmon Jr. will continue his basketball career in Italy after signing with Aquila Basket Trento, according to a tweet from the Pianeta Basket Twitter account on Friday. The sharpshooter averaged 19.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.5 three pointers per game last season while playing for Pesaro in the same league as his new team, Lega Basket Series A. After signing Blackmon Jr, head coach Nicola Brienza shared some thoughts: “Blackmon è un giocatore che siamo davvero molto felici di aver portato a Trento: ha caratteristiche e qualità tecniche che lo rendono un eccellente profilo da affiancare a Craft e agli altri esterni che abbiamo nel roster, e pur essendo molto giovane ha fatto vedere lo scorso anno, con una grande stagione a Pesaro, di poter essere un tassello importante in una squadra ambiziosa.” If you don’t speak Italian, and you probably don’t, Brienza (roughly) said that he’s happy to have Blackmon on the team, thinks he fits nicely with the rest of the roster, and says “he can be an important piece to an ambitious team.” The Lega Basket Serie A season is set to begin on September 25.

    2019 July Evaluation Period

Couple of post-Adidas Gauntlet Finale comments from Corey Evans. Jordan Geronimo - It is like clockwork every summer with the Mass Rivals program: The adidas outfit always has one guy who morphs into a high-major prospect right in front of our very eyes. tic, instinctive defender and capable shot-maker, Geronimo is coming after a spot in the Rivals150. He just corralled an offer from Indiana, as that programs joins other such as Iowa, Penn State, Providence and Texas A&M in doing so. Jalen Bridges was formerly a member of the 2019 class who decided about a year ago that he would take a prep year this upcoming fall. His performance over the weekend was surely the best we have seen of the Wildcats Select product. The perfect small-ball power forward for today’s game, Bridges made shots in a variety of ways and also displayed sneaky explosiveness in the lane. Some schools have asked for his fall of 2019 enrollment. Instead, he will stick with his plans as Pitt, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio State and Xavier are just a few that are high on his college list.
