Is it possible that like many of us, David Beatty streamed the IU - Hope College game last weekend, and saw that Devonte and CuJo are gonna eat up a lot of starting guard minutes for at least the next two or three years?

Yep. I'm confident in our guards for next season.

If we can add a NBA talent like Diallo to play "wing", then fine but I'll happily take our core of guards next season.

Seems unlikely but I guess possible if IU was a fringe choice.

I guess it depends how you (and I) frame the question:

1. Would a recruit base his college decision on how other guards at a possible destination school played against inferior competition in an exhibition game?    NO.
2. Would a recruit disqualify a school where there didn't appear to be much playing time available for at least their freshman year?                                            YES.

But how can you accurately access #2 based on an exhibition game where the competition level is lacking.  A lot of players can look much better than they end up being during the course of the regular season.
