I get that home teams and big name teams get the benefit of the doubt. I don't like that IU has had some bad calls go against them at home too. It is what it is though. Quote

maharkn Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 Yes that would be the only explanation for the offensive play Sent from my XT1650 using BtownBanners mobile app Quote
716e11th Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 I didn't get to watch much of the game but it seems like we had the right formula to win the game, just a few things didn't go out way:- Have to score a TD on that first drive after the fumble. Have to score a TD off of the INT in the fourth. Field position like that is a gift. - The dropped INT in the end zone which led to OSU's first FG. - The Lagow fumble which I thought was an incomplete pass. - The kickoff return after the TD with less than two minutes. For us to beat a team as talented as OSU we need a perfect storm. Plays like those above have to go our way. I am not disappointed by our loss, I don't think we embraced ourselves. This type of game will make us better. Good summary. I had the same thoughts- long bomb in the 1st half that our receiver had to wait on. If he catches that in stride we score. Ended up getting nothing on that. - Laglow fumble - they score 7- kickoff at the end of the first - I was begging for a squib kick or into the end zone. - interception down to their 12ish - no pointsNot saying we would've won, but we had our chances. Seems like CKW's game plan is to run the ball and rely on the defense for the first half. Then open things up in the second. Anyways, nice to talk about IU football for a change. Hope we can win 2 (or 3) of 4 over Nebraska, NW, PSU and Maryland (who looks pretty good).Rutgers and Purdue should be wins. HoosierAloha, Josh and ALASKA HOOSIER 3 Quote
