Yeah, that 3.29 was pretty damn good which actually was a 3.23 second sprint.

That number by Ware is fantastic, but that number be Missi looks like a misprint. If that’s true, wow.

Now Ware dropping in a little 36” vert. That kid was created for a Combine environment. On the purely testing side he’ll probably test out as a top 2 big, which we pretty much knew.

I loved watching this kid in high school.  Even to my untrained eye he was a baller.

Alex Karaban caught fire in the 3-point star shooting drill, hitting 14 straight 3s. Made 21/25 total for by far the best figure so far at the NBA draft combine. Also tops in off the dribble shooting.

I'm pretty sure Cody Zeller held or holds the standing vertical for players 6-9 and taller.

Edit: Zellers standing vertical was 35.5.

Also that same year, Victor and Ben McLemore with 42in Max's and Shane Larkin with a crazy 44in.

So how did TJD do last year?

Edey ended testing better than Clingan surprisingly.

Clingans...

Lane Agility: 12.09

Shuttle: 3.38

3/4 Sprint: 3.46

Standing Vert: 25.5

Max Vert: 29.0

Edey...

Lane Agility: 11.19

Shuttle: 3.01

3/4 Sprint: 3.42

Standing Vert: 26.0

Max Vert: 31.5

Edeys lane agility was FASTER than Antonio Reeves, Payton Stanford, Justin Edwards, Clingan, Michael Ajayi, Boogie Ellis and Coleman Hawkins. Out of centers listed only Izan Almansa, Kel'el Ware and Adam Bona were faster.

Shuttle he tied with Travon Brazile and Bona. Edged out Bronny by .01. faster than Reed Sheppard and Reece Beekman. There was basically the same gap between Wares 2.91 seconds and Edeys 3.01 as Edey and Yves Missi at 3.12.

Basically... Edey won BIG TIME at the combine.

Ware’s landing spot is gonna be so interesting. If you believe in the kid his talent in this draft is lottery level all day. If you’re not sold where does the talent outweigh the question? Fair to say Derek Lively has probably made Ware some money.

This seems to be the argument I have seen on many mocks arguing for or against Ware. Does the team believe in his motor? Seems like "attitude" questions have disappeared and rightfully so. The other question is can he defend and rebound the physicality of the NBA. Personally I think he slides out of the lottery but would love to see him high.

The second wave of 2024 NBA draft green room invites: • Rob Dillingham • Nikola Topic • Jared McCain • Johnny Furphy • Kyshawn George • Kyle Filipowski • Isaiah Collier • Yves Missi • Zach Edey (invitation declined)

Dillingham and Edey are the best of that group. I don't understand how anyone told Furphy, McCain, George, Filipikowski, Missi or Collier that leaving college was a good idea.
