Trish Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Tommy Boy was on this mornings podcast with Adrian Woj. It's a must listen. Walking Boot of Doom Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Interesting, according to Woj, NBA front offices talk to Crean every spring about his players and other B1G players. Is this fairly common, or is this recognition of Crean's scouting abilities? lillurk 1 Quote

Is this fairly common, or is this recognition of Crean's scouting abilities? He's hit some gems with D-Wade (Superstar) and Oladipo (Baby Star). I assume the NBA front offices trust his words about all players around his team and the league. Have to admit, Crean has done a great job at getting his players ready for the next level. Cody-Noah-Dipo all start on their teams. I found it interesting that he's taken some plays (sets) from coach David Blatt. Would love to know what plays. Honestly i don't see many sets from the team. His offense has so many different options and different variables. Quote

Not every HM coach is known for giving accurate information- whichever agenda they're going for. Sometimes they're helping themselves, helping the kid, etc LockdownD, Bobman1, Class of '66 Old Fart and 4 others 7 Quote

There's a difference between him saying it, and you saying he has that reputation without realizing he talked about that on the podcast. Quote
Popular Post hoosierpap Posted March 9, 2016 Popular Post Posted March 9, 2016 Even better. Sorta makes you wonder if that "snake oil salesman" stuff is just BS. Sometimes coming off too genuine can have an opposite effect, I suppose. Liked the last couple minutes where he talked about grabbing new stuff, storing it away, applying it to recruits, game day changes etc. Specifically, and about as emphatically as Crean gets said something like "it'd be STUPID" to not adapt and change. Certainly flies in the face of a lot whats said around here. I'm as concerned as anyone for the march madness performance, and what next year brings...but I'm just going to roll with it for now. Seems silly not to, but thats me ThompsonHoosier, J_Smiff, ALASKA HOOSIER and 6 others 9 Quote
