End 1st Q.  Lady Hoosiers lead 19 - 13.        Cahill with 7 pts. and 3 rebounds.  Anderson did pick up 2 fouls.

A solid first half and the Lady Hoosiers lead Sparty 39 - 25.   Soph. Karlee McBride got her first start and poured in 13 pts. and didn't miss a shot.  Buss with 9 pts. and 4 assists; Cahill with 7 pts. and 6 rebounds.  Team shooting 51% from the field and 46% on 3's.  Getting outrebounded by 5 on the offensive glass which is a chronic problem but they've only turned the ball over 6 times vs. 14 for MSU.

End of 3 and the Lady Hoosiers are hangin' tough and lead 57 - 45.  Buss and McBride each with 13 pts., Cahill with 11 pts., 8 rebounds and 4 assists.  Anderson with 4 fouls.  53% shooting for IU vs. 40% for Sparty plus Sparty has been gracious enough to commit 20 TO's.  MSU is dominating the offensive glass with 13 OR to only 1 for IU, but has only scored 11 second chance points.

And the zebras have become whistle happy and McBride, Cahill and Anderson all with 4 fouls.  6 min. left and still lead 65 - 52.

VICTORY!     IU defeats Sparty 81 - 65.

 

Ladies didn't let the foul trouble stop them and they finished with a strong 4th quarter.  For the game they shot 55% from the floor, 43% on 3's and 81% from the foul line.  By comparison, Sparty only shot 37%, 18% and 68% respectively.  Sparty also helped the cause with 24 TO's.   Despite offensive rebound dominance with 20 they only scored 16 second chance points.  And off IU's 18 TO's, they only scored 13 pts.

 

Buss - 24 pts., 4 reb., 4 asst. but 5 TO's.

McBride - 17 pts.

Cahill - 17 pts., 8 reb., 4 asst.

Gassion - 10 pts., 4 reb.
