I had never heard of the April Fools joke til I read that. I don't think he's the best coach around. But he certainly doesn't need that for his kids.

Even I think that was too far.  And I think Tom Crean should've been fired after last season and that he'll never get fired as long as Glass is here because our AD is a fanboy that just wants whats best for Crean, so you know it's too far.

Anyone follow Jake Query? He tweeted some interesting thoughts that I admit I had not considered.

@jakequery: An IU Prof making a joke at Crean's expense, in his daughter's presence, would be bad..but, ..just what if..it never happened?

If the professor made the comment knowing his daughter was in the class the prof should be fired. Didn't Crean go to the Bloomington HS to complain about the student section? Surely he would have done the same here, I would have.

If the comment was made surely someone knew his daughter was in the class but it never makes it to social media.

I am not saying it did not happen but I had not even bothered to consider whether it might not have happened or at least not to the degree described by the Creans until JQs tweet.

I had Professor Head in Crim Justice and happened to have it with Tevin Coleman as well.. One day he made a joke that was cringe worthy with several football players in the class.. "Hey the football team didn't lose this week!... We had a bye!"

Lol that's professor Head for you! I had him for like 3 different criminal justice classes and he always made those type of jokes.

I am confused why the Creans are confused they are being treated the way they are. Tom knew when he took the job that it was a big time program and that at some point expectations would be high. There are bad fans out there who will be disrespectful just like there are bad people in almost everything you can think of. He talks about our history he brags up the passion of our fans base. It is true we are passionate and take basketball seriously that was the perk to taking this job the sky was the limit. He would have the facilities the fans the tradition to be a legendary coach and be in the conversation with the likes of Izzo and knight and coach K and on and on. The downside to all the positive things is when you don't get the job done the passion turns to anger and frustration. If he had won these 7 years we would be singing their praises and treating them like royalty but it hasn't happened and this is what your left with. A bunch of disappointed fans who were used to winning and although crean is a great guy he may not be right for iu.it isn't easy being crean and it shouldn't be. If it were easy to be the head basketball coach at iu and win championships we would all do it. Whining about the way you are treated isn't doing anybody any good.

You can't prepare for your kids to be heckled. That's going to shock anyone, and deservedly so. As a fanbase that preaches "the right way", we should all take this a lesson to improve. Disgusting the sense of entitlement some fans have.

we don't know it was iu fans heckling his kids and even if it was they are the bad fans I was referring to. It speaks louder to me that he was at all surprised and it definitely comes with the territory. If he is offended if know he isn't the right guy for this job
