We earned and deserve that score. Two straight games where we collapse in the 4th quarter.

The halftime score and playing a team close into the third quarter means nothing when you give up late, long rushing scores during a time you should be expecting runs.  Anyone expect anything different against Iowa and Michigan?

I honestly expect worse against Iowa and Michigan. MSU just kinda toys with you then gets serious in the 4th quarter.

Again, we played well in the first three quarters then fell apart. We played good defense on 1st and second down. And on third down they would convert what felt like every time. We just need to stay strong on defense and keep stopping them.

That's one of the reasons I hate the hurry up offense. If your defense doesn't have the depth nor do they have the stamina to be on the field that much then you don't push the tempo to that extent.

Agreed. Our football team reminds me so much of our basketball team. Its hurry up and score and hope the other team misses.

Earned and deserved? It is what it is I guess, but I'm not sure you and I were watching the same game. I saw a team that played its nuts off against a better team, and were dragging ass at the end. I expect them to leave it all out on the field every game, Iowa and Michigan included.

The opponent doesn't matter. Wake Forest nearly came back from a big 4th quarter deficit. They aren't good.  Rutgers was down 25 points and won. They aren't good.  We gave up nearly the same amount of late points to MSU. They are good. The result is the same and that is really all that matters.

In the end, its going to be the results that count. However, I wouldn't consider the comparison of the Rutgers game and MSU game to be legit. In the Rutgers game, they seemed to think they had the game won, and just quit playing. In the MSU game, they played till they just didn't have anything left to leave out there. Both are still in the loss column.

Not sure why coach abandon the running game in 4th qtr. The freshman kid grabbed some yards the couple of times he touched the ball. Burning some clock would have given our D some breathing space. Did Redding get any carries? Did not see him. Anyway, a bye week will give Howard a chance to heal. At full strength, look out Iowa and maize/blue. Could finish 8-4. If the defense shows up...
