He’s got really good velo. Was hitting 95 in high school. Who knows what happened at Louisville. Could’ve been that he wasn’t getting consistent appearances, didn’t work with their pitching philosophy, or he just struggled. Hopefully he gets that ERA down and let’s his stuff work for this IU pitching staff.

I’ve known this one since he was 5. He’s a good pickup using his COVID year. He started at Anderson University and graduated then played last year at Taylor. Was the conference pitcher of the year back to back years in different conferences. One being D3 and the other NAIA. He’s been a successful hitter too but not sure if he’ll do any of that at IU.

Some more notes on Moran. Glant originally recruited him to AU out of high school. This summer he pitched in the MLB Prospect League, Grand Park League, and Cape Cod League. He has had MLB scouts showing interest the last 3 years his fastball has topped at 94-95 but sits high 80’s to low 90’s with a really good slider.
