Mayor Giuliani killed it last night. A seriously passionate speech. Darryl Glenn (Colorado) and Sheriff David Clarke had great speeches as well. The gentlemen from the Benghazi situation and Marcus Luttrell hit home runs as well.

In fairness, none of this matters: No one who disagrees is going to be persuaded by any of the speakers just as no on went in supporting will waiver. Conventions are just pep rallies.

1. Trumps' kids seem very squared away; Ivanka is an A+.
2. Unless the billionaire is someone like Manuel Noriega, I can't really think of any children of billionaires that end up being losers. For that matter, I have no idea if Noriega even has kids, and if he does, they are probably going to a private school in Switzerland. Even the next generation of Bin Ladens were Ivy Leaguers. Saddam Hussein's sons were pretty bad-ass; that's about the only example I can think of. Your average corporate billionaire's kid? Nice people.

That's fair. I think I was probably too extreme with using "loser" in this situation. I guess I had the image of the kids of the very rich who don't really do a whole lot and just live off their parents' money in my mind. The Johnny Manziel (his current state) types of the world you could say. Trump's kids seem like the type who would've been very successful even if they hadn't had their father's billion dollar business to work for after college. I don't know how much parenting the Donald actually did, but whoever raised them did a great job.

A lot of it stems from the "losers" being the only ones we hear about. The term "out of sight" rich pertains to these types- they're so wealthy that we generally don't even see or hear about them unless you actively try to.

^^This^^. And also, though Johnny Manziel's family has some real money, they are by no means "billionaires".

I didn't know much about Mike Pence before he was picked as Trump's running mate, but he gave a great speech tonight imo. It's cool seeing someone from Indiana on the national stage.

IMO Pence is solid. No doubt brought in to shore up the conservative base. Will be the only decent and honorable person out of the 4 running for President-Vice President.
