Anyone have a drone here? I bought a Phantom 1 about a month ago when it went on crazy sale on Amazon for my GoPro. Was hoping someone here had one to discuss things with.

I have an AR drone 2.0 but haven't used it much. It uses and iPad/tablet as a controller so it's tough to get used to. I'd love to get a better one but they're all so pricey...

Yea they are crazy expensive. Finally say the phantom drop to $395 (from $800) and bought it on the spot. Thing is so much fun to fly with almost zero learning curve if you've ever played a video game in your life.

Those are fabulous pictures.  I am actually surprised they came from a GoPro.  I've never been able to get anything good from my GoPro.  It takes good video, but not stills.

Which GoPro do you have? I have the Hero3+ silver and get amazing pictures off of it.

He also added a bunch of saturation and stuff to those pictures, the colors are much more intense than they would be right after being taken.

I think it is a Hero 2.  I bought it about a year before they started having the black and silver models.  Should probably update, but I use it mostly for filming my hunting, and it works pretty good for that,

They took a huge step forward when they went for the silver and blACK EDITIONS.  Mine is a silver edition 4.    You do also have to edit the pictures after the shot.  They take incredible pictures, but purposefully leave the colors and shot bland so you can edit it later.  Creates some pretty incredible shots.

Oooo thanks! Is there any way to get first person viewing from the camera? Like to see it from the drone's view?
