He plays on the same HS team as Jalen Brunson. I've seen him play a few times. He's a bit like Troy in the sense that he's very athletic and he wants to dunk every time he touches the ball. Stevenson was Illinois state champs this year but lose the two top scorers. He'll be their go to guy next year and we'll really get to see how good he is.

Class of 2017 Stevenson (Ill.) wing Justin Smith, who received a scholarship offer from Indiana earlier this month, is planning a visit to Bloomington this June.

In 17 EYBL games this spring, Smith averaged 8.2 points and 3.1 rebounds in 16.3 minutes per game for Mac Irvin Fire.

Along with the offer from IU, Smith also has early offers from Illinois, DePaul, Wake Forest and Rice with interest from Duke, Georgetown, Iowa, Stanford, Wisconsin, Villanova and Nebraska.

Smith averaged 10.3 points and four rebounds as a sophomore and scored 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds as Stevenson beat Normal, 57-40, to win the IHSA Class 4A title.

Being a Stevenson High School alum, I'm very excited to see what he can do as the go to guy on offense. Video of him shows what he is capable of and his athleticism shows his great potential. If he can take the next step and gain full control of his abilities, I think that he'd be a great fit in the IU program.
