Indiana Improving Year by Year?

Recommended Posts

lets take out those 2 years and see what the resume in the Big Ten looks like. Then spin it to be positive.

Spoiler alert: he regressed from year 2 to 3. I count year 3 against Crean bc of the regression. Get rid of the Zeller years and his first 2 bc of the rebuild. He has a losing record in conference.

Yeah I don't get the, let's throw out the first three years argument. The team didn't really show much, if any, development between years 2 and 3. If anything it just shows Crean needs exceptional talent to be successful. Which isn't the sign of a great coach

In turn if you don't count the first 3 years then I don't want to hear about landing Vic or the Hulls class. Those don't count. See it goes both ways and I get a chuckle over it. You only get to count the good and not the bad. In fairness I don't hold the losses the first 2 years against him.

I'll give you two other years you can eliminate.

If you eliminate Tom Crean's first two seasons at Indiana, his Big Ten record is 44-46.

Think of that for a second.   At Indiana University, in years 3-7, Tom Crean has a losing record in the Big Ten.    Boys and girls....that's unacceptable.  For ANY coach.  St. John's gets it.  Why doesn't Indiana??

He took a team that would win 7 games a year to a 1 seed in future years, and made the tournament another year. You have to give him props but at Indiana we want and deserve better than the Sweet Sixteen
