Walking Boot of Doom

IU vs. MSU Postgame

Recommended Posts

Not sure why this surprised anyone. Even the sports writers got this one right. Izzy is a great coach, this game was won way before it was played. If Crean didn't know the ball pressure was coming then I should be coaching. Didn't start slipping the screens until the second half. So so so bad. That prep should have been done easily in practice. No shame in losing there, or even having a bad game shooting, but to be shell shocked because we were unprepared is just unacceptable. And, it will never change, long season ahead I'm afraid. Everyone has the blue print and now can watch the film on how to execute.

Bo Ryan and Mark Turgeon, sure. But most Big Ten coaches arent on Izzos level.

. Yes, but Izzo just gave all the turd coaches the playbook. MSU is down this year so there are many teams that can big body and pressure us.

The up side to this is that's it's fairly obvious that Blackmon will not be going pro, hell the guy might end up being a 4 year starter and set a bunch of records. Just a couple decent bigs away from another big season next year that falls short of most expectations but is good enough for Glass to shove an extension down our throats.

I respectfuly disagree.
Emmitt came to play. If he doesnt start the next game somethings wrong.

Holt played with some heart relative to the others but not Montrezl Harrell sized heart.

Plus, he's a undersized on the D end and lacking O skills to be the true big man of this team. Exactly the reason why Crean is begging and pleading Hanner to step up. I like Emmitt but we shouldn't have to rely on a reclassed, last minute, unheralded signee to contribute THIS year.

Again, roster management.
