The King-- Codius Zeller the Great-- injured his right shoulder trying to block a thunderous slam from the newest IU/Francais lander Thomas Bryant after weeks of secret training to get Bryant ready for the upcoming IU basketball season.  King Zeller smiled and told reporters he will be fine and that Bryant is ready for the rigors of the Big Ten.  Queen Olivia said King Cody will be back in action soon and noted Zeller is still is better with one hand than most players are with both.  The King will be improving his game by working on his left handed shots until his right shoulder heals.  During his time off while he is healing King Zeller also intends to call IU/Francais Floor General Yogius Ferrelli and take him out for French fries and French toast and convince him to return to team and country and lead IU/Francais land to victories in the upcoming year!  And all the IU/Francais landers said---AMEN!

In all seriousness---I hope Cody makes a speedy and full recovery. Even though I still think he left too early for the NBA, I will always remember him as the first big commit who helped turn the program around.  Sure was great winning a big ten title and being ranked number one.  Hope we get back to that next season!

For those of you new to BTown Banners---in 2014 Rivals had an article comparing college basketball programs to countries.  For reasons set out below---they chose France for IU. Although France is NOT the country we would have picked---many of us posters embraced it and had a little fun with it---creating an imaginary Francais land to discuss IU basketball recruiting, upcoming games, and Hoosiers in the NBA.  Woodson suggested early on and our very own OliviaPope is now the Queen of IU/Francaisland and she rules along with King Codius Zeller as they try everything in their power to bring about a resurgence in IU basketball.  I know this sounds a little strange but posters such as myself who are already mentally unstable enjoy it immensely.  We hope you will join in the IU/Francais land kingdom as Queen Olivia needs cabinet members and members of the all-volunteer army to further the work of the kingdom.  As Rebel---I head up our Information Ministry and issue many of the press releases/propaganda requested by Queen Olivia and King Zeller.  Alaska pm'd me that he is in and he is the Commander of our all-volunteer army. We need volunteers to fill out the cabinet positions--please nominate yourself---and we hope you will join in the fun.  We specifically are going to need an executioner as Queen Olivia has ordered a new guillotine for use with traitors and enemies of war. Won't you join????

Indiana - France. Lots of history, culture, and tradition, and a certain holierthanthou smugness among many of its residents. Most successful run came under the rule of a brutal dictator whose pride ended up being his own downfall. Due to more recent circumstances, has become the butt of a lot of jokes.

IU/Francaisland had a great run under Dictator Le Bobius Knightus. He helped us conquer many enemies and we won 3 World Wars for which the banners proudly hang in The Hall.  However, Secretary of Education Le Mileseus Brandus staged a brutal coup from inside and banished Knightus from the Kingdom. We have been struggling every since to regain world domination. Prince Mikeus Davis led us to a few conquests but he could not sustain the success. Queen Olivia and King Cody are working to bring it back through Crown Prince Crean. This could be the year! Parle Vous IU!

Sound the alarm!  Sentries have spotted troop movements from the West.  It seems a small but pesky kingdom known as the Eastern Illinois Panthers  is going to try and sneak attack us at The Hall.  We must protect the Queen at all costs.  Our scouts tell us that EIU has one of the youngest armies ever assembled.  They have 9 new fighters this year, including 6 freshmen, 2 juco transfers, and a 4-year transfer. They are no match for our experienced long range 3 -point bombadiers or for our our secret weapon---MSB Priller! Little do they know they are marching to their slaughter. What's the battle plan-Alaska?  We could send an advance force to meet them at the border and try to redirect them North toward West Lafayette/North Korea land. The smell alone from all the pig farms will kill them. Thoughts?
