He's Purdoo's Tom Crean.He gets respect from me because I like the way he runs his program. He knows his strengths and he gets his teams to play hard. Guy lost 4 1000 point scorers last year and has put his team in position to share the B1G regular season. Sure they might get bounced in the first weekend but he seems to get the most out of the players he coaches. Really nice guy and approachable. But he’s been over .500 in the big ten 10 out of the last 12 years. Crean only pulled the feat off 3 out of 9. Quote

His post season stats show less than mediocrity. He may be a nice approachable guy, but I don't get his coaching results. Quote

Three total seasons below .500 his entire time at Purdue. Clearly similar to a guy who only had 3 winning big ten records. If by similar you mean complete opposites. One has a .631 winning percentage the other around .434 with much more talent. Clearly the same guy basically. Quote

He also had a handful of bumps that stopped or changed the direction of the driver without a foul. Maybe if Al was known as a defender he’d get the same treatment.
