New Mexico/ucla about to tip off

I’m gonna guess Alford really, really enjoyed winning that one.
The 2 teams combined for 45 to’s and 11-38 from 3. Quite a clinic.

Little Pitino is the coach of New Mexico.  Alford is at Nevada.   I’m guessing UCLA won’t put Nevada on the schedule while he is still at Nevada

4m30s in UT is up 6-0. Louisville looks like a team that added 11 guys in the transfer portal. That haul was ranked #27… so little bit of a talent disparity and chemistry problem. That said, they are getting some good looks and shooting a bunch of 3s. Just haven’t fallen yet. Crowd looks energized. They have Hepburn from Wiscy, feels like he’s been playing CBB forever.

Edit: 14m in 1H - UL gets on the board with a Rainn corner 3. Down 10-3. They’ve shot 7 so far.

SHU vs Fordham on FS2. SHU leads 20-16 8m in H1. They’re playing at Walsh Gymnasium, their old on campus gym. It’s built in almost exactly the same dimensions as Cameron Indoor but only holds a couple thousand. The camera is picking up very clearly what both coaches are yelling on the sidelines lol

Tie game with 7 min to go.    Arkansas St is playing without a couple of key players as well.  They are the favorites to win the Sun Belt.   Don’t see any team catching them.  Maybe James Madison can hang with them but their talent gap with the rest of the league will be noticeable.  Their coach will be a power 4 coach sooner rather then later

I know nothing about the Ark St coach. Does he have loose ties to Indiana or IU? Is he the next up and coming coach we collectively fall in love with only to have our hearts ripped out when the IU BOT keeps Woodson for his 8th year (see: Dusty May, Josh Schertz)?

He will stay in the South and he was Oats main recruiter.  He is a shark in recruiting.  Arkansas St will be one of the best mid majors this year

IU needed Louisville to have a good showing for scheduling purposes.  Louisville game is still IUs most important non con game on the schedule.  I’m assuming Zags win their first game so ius needs to beat Louisville to get a change to play the Zags.   Don’t necessarily have to win that game just need to play the Zags in the non con
