U.Va.-N.C. State going to OT. Cavs had ball with 29.7 seconds to play. Ty Jerome kept the ball the entire possession. He dribbled off about 20 seconds at half-court, then went to the hoop and missed. U.Va. is usually one of the nation's smarter teams, but that was a stupid, stupid play. Make at least one pass.

As if we needed proof that Bryce Drew is really really bad at coaching basketball:
Tonight in Nashville at the half:
Kentucky 45
Vandrrbilt 15
Vandy with 14 turnovers and 2 assists. Yes; you read that right. At halftime Vandy has one more point than turnover.

But he sure is fun to listen to wired. I guess no more five stars for him.

I don't know about that wired part.  But as far as the 5*s, Garland was in the backyard.  And I have no idea how he landed Shittu, who I believe is from Canada.  Drew is between a rock and a hard place.  You got Tennessee and now you got Penny at Memphis.  Not a good recruiting base to begin with at all.  Add to it the SEC is on the rise from a talent standpoint as well as a coaching standpoint.  I really don't foresee him lasting much longer there.  To be honest, I don't know why he took the job in the first place.

I'm so confused about when we can blame coaches.  We had a similar first half against Michigan and.....everybody

Ummm, not really comparable: While we were really bad against Michigan in that first half, at halftime we were down 15 and cut the lead to nine early in the second half before falling apart again and losing by 23. That was our absolute (I think - lol) 'worst case - everything goes wrong' scenario.

UK tripled (!), yes...TRIPLED the score on Vandy by halftime, and once Vandy started to play better in the second half, they cut the lead to as small as ... 29 for a few minutes.

Vandy is winless in conference; with Drew they have gone from 10-8 in conf (with Drew coaching Stallings' players) to 6-12 last year, and this year to 0-7, and has defensive stats that are beyond belief bad, in Drew's third year. IU is a borderline NCAA tourney team currently.

Also ...where did you get the idea that their is confusion about when it has been time for IU fans to blame the coach? You should read your own posts (and those of DeLow and Bailey). I'm pretty sure that, even with your condescending question about "when can we blame coaches?" there has been plenty of that.

We had 18 points at halftime, they had 15.  Both programs are a mess.  I think it's ok to blame the coaches, but I'm told that's only ok in one case.

Condesention works both ways.
