X-Hoosier Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 Your comments are always negative about the Hoosiers. I am just curious. Well I'm not a homer. I can be realistic about things without slobbering everywhere. I can have an unbiased opinion. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using BtownBanners mobile app Quote
HoosierAloha Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 You're very narrow minded in your thinking and posting. If JN, JBJ, and RoJo all have decent seasons we can still have a great season. I expect Bryant to be the main focus of the offense with OG, JBJ, and possibly CuJo having good seasons. RoJo, JN, JMo, and Hartman all to be solid and possibly Green and Davis to pick it up midway through the B1G season. It's quite easy to think if x, y, and z don't happen we're screwed. However, believing that others could step up isn't being a homer. Again, that's narrow minded thinking. Edit: Not trying to dog you just being realistic why others on here have a difficult time with you. It's fine being a "realist non homer" but when everything you post is negative it seems like you are "pessimistic a-hole ex-Hoosier fan." mamasa 1 Quote

If 3 of our Top 5 players only have "decent seasons" then we'll most likely have a decent season. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using BtownBanners mobile app Quote
Crimson and Cream Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 I see Bryant, JBJ, and OG being our best 3 players, with a bunch of possibilities after that. At the moment I wouldn't put Rojo as a top 25 player in the B1G. HoosierAloha 1 Quote

At the moment I wouldn't put Rojo as a top 25 player in the B1G. This is what I see. I see Bryant making a lot of players better because of his ability to cause double teams. I can see RoJo, Hartman, and CuJo benefiting from this a lot. I hope OG plays a bit with his back to the basket but I don't see it happening much if at all. If TB, OG, and JBJ all have their best season with several of the supporting cast having good seasons we should compete for another B1G title, be in the top 10 most of the season, and be at least in the sweet 16. I would categorize the players something like Featured: TB, OG, JBJ Role players: JMo, RoJo, Hartman, JN, CuJo See time: DD, McSwain, Green HVC: Priller, Gelon Crimson and Cream and IUsafety 2 Quote
drewheck Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 You have to stay eligible at UK. I believe that in nine years of Calipari, only one of his scholly recruits (Poythress) has obtained a college degree. That makes them within the corners of the page, but it also makes them poster children for making a mockery of the concept of the student athlete. And that's WITH giving them the benefit of the doubt that they're not pulling UNC/UL type shenanigans. Id be willing to bet that the ul stuff goes on alot more than youd think the other schools are just better at hiding it Sent from my SM-G900R6 using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

I could see RoJo or CuJo stepping up if JBJ were to go down again. I'm actually expecting quite a bit from CuJo by the time B1G season rolls around. JMo has the potential to go from a role player to something in between a role player and a featured player. I could actually see a second unit of JMo and CuJo along with a few starters really getting it done. I placed DD and McSwain in the see time category because they're late arriving and will take awhile to catch up. If they come along and step up towards the end of the season that would give great depth to the front court. And hopefully the human victory cigars are in the game with about 3 minutes left in a 40 point blowout and not just 30 seconds... ALASKA HOOSIER and Crimson and Cream 2 Quote

There really isn't any other legitimate big man on the roster. Stuhoo and HoosierAloha 2 Quote

Agreed, but given that he still hasn't shown up on campus, I expect there to be much gnashing of collective fanbase teeth when he is way behind the curve for his first few months. Especially compounded because he played against relatively inferior high school competition. I expect Juwan to guard smaller lineup bigs a lot early on. By February or so? Needs to be DeRon. If he's able to hit the corner and trail threes like he was told to work on he could play a significant role down the stretch. If he's trailing for threes in the second unit and JMo, McSwain, OG, etc are filling the lanes to the basket that would be something to see. Overall, there is a ton of talent and basketball skill to play different types of basketball. I hope it's utilized to its full potential and we put together an excellent season! GloryDays 1 Quote
