Kentucky with another unimpressive win last night, 80-74 at home against 7-7 Mississippi State. Marcus Lee fouled out with 2 points, Alex Poythress had 6 points and 4 fouls in 31 minutes and Skal poured in five points off the bench.

IU has better team, and a better tournament chance, than Kensucky.

And we are far from the only ones.

#1, #3, #8, and #17 all go down tonight!

#17 has lost two in a row, is 1-3 in their conference (tied for last place), and 12-4 overall.   #20 and #21 (Pitt and Louisville) play tomorrow night,  One of those likely to drop out next week.  Making room, as long as Hoosiers take of business in Minneapolis this weekend.

USC, the only team receiving more votes than IU but not in the AP top 25 plays at UCLA tonight,  Will Bryce hit another game winner?

Mizzou just announced a self-imposed postseason ban for this year for impermissible benefits. THEY BLOW. HMMM THAT'S CONVENIENT.

Edit: Just got a notification that they're vacating the 13-14 season under Haith too.

That postseason ban this year is BS. Like you said, they blow. NCAA ought to tack on two years for insulting everyone's intelligence.

Exactly. ANY post season ban should only apply when a team achieves at least 20 wins.

Wow. That's a serious change.

So, essentially coaches with kids "leaving early" won't have any idea who is on their team until the end of May? That's... something.

And they can do it every year! Declare intentions, tryout, combine, get some good feedback, go back to your team and rinse and repeat until you hear the answer you want.

I kind of like it in the sense that it might keep more kids in college as opposed to going undrafted. Other than that I'm not sure what to think yet. It does screw coaches a little bit for sure.

So do you hold the scholly or oversign?   Will 'Creaning' become an industry standard?

I get that. What I don't like is that it will encourage kids who otherwise wouldn't consider the draft to give it a shot and see how the combine and practice goes. I mean, no harm no foul right? And cause a strain on determining the make-up of each team. And further push the spring commits into the summer.

At least before they had to stop and think "Do I want to blow one of my two declarations just to meet with scouts?" now, they can get 90% of the way through the process first. It just does absolutely nothing to stem the tide of kids leaving early for the NBA and actually makes the problem worse. Like, does the NCAA seriously not see how much people hate the current system?

Its probably just a matter of time. But OSU is down 7 to Rutgers with 4 + to play in the first half.

Ohio State down 33-26. Lyle with 10 points and nine rebounds for Ohio State with three minutes still left in the first half. Lyle is no student, and I'll bet you he's a one and done.
