Not sure if Crean got any new walk ons during those tryouts. No word that he did either way

thats a great question, but do they always hold walk on tryouts this late in the game? or it for next years team? sorry i just found it odd they held walk on tryouts....or is it because we have so many guys out right now?

Probably because of the lack of bodies we have right now

As I recall, we won exhibitions easily in Crean's first couple of years here and we didn't have anyone as talented as Yogi, JBJ, Rojo, and Hanner.  Also, I may have to buy my son a MSB jersey.  If Crean (or whoever replaces him) recruits over him, I am going to be LIVID!!

Looking for the silver lining in this:

It will give players like Priller an opportunity to prove the doubters wrong.

It also will allow new guys to step up as team leaders.

Adversity can bring out the best in some people. Let's see who those people are.

Exhibitions will be fine but as mentioned before that Mike Davis game 2 could realistically be a problem.

ya a lot of people are writing these games off that our guys are being suspended but i could see us dropping one of these games....

more on burton from inside the hall:

"Another Indiana native, Ryan Burton, who played two seasons (2011-2012, 2012-2013) at Bellarmine University in Louisville, is also joining the program as a walk-on.

Burton, a 6-foot-7 forward who played high school at Bedford North Lawrence, played in 58 games over two seasons at Bellarmine, where he averaged 4.1 points and 1.6 rebounds in 13.1 minutes per game.

As a senior at Bedford North Lawrence, Burton averaged 11 points and six rebounds as the Stars finished 18-2 and won the Hoosier Hills Conference."
