Quick note: Football games as a basketball recruiting tool

I've seen more than a few posts about it not being good that a basketball recruit is at an IU football game while the IU football team is playing terribly.

Please keep this in mind, no basketball recruit in the history of ever has allowed how a university's football team plays impact his decision.

It's the most illogical complaint/thing to worry about.

The atmosphere on game days are great so I think they're probably okay if the football team loses with 30,000 in the stands

If Crean's smart, he uses it to his advantage. If I'm him and we're recruiting a kid against a traditional football school, I'm saying "remember the atmosphere at their football game? This is Indiana, that's what our basketball games are like. See the atmosphere at this football game? That's what their basketball games are like."

Hey---us Hoosier Faithful have been living with losing seasons in FBall for years and we keep going to the FBall and BBall games.  Even in a bad year----it's still fun to go to the FBall games.

Crappy football hasn't hurt Kansas' BB recruiting as of late.

Yeah---crappy FBall probably doesn't hurt Bball recruiting much----but I sure would like to see us win again.
