Don't know what to make of Thon (and his brother Matur) leaving the Carlisle School in Virginia and going to Canada to train. Suspect he will be finishing up high school/prep school at another school. Wish he was doing it to reclassify to 2015. Anyone with any further news on this?

Has anyone heard if any program has the inside track on Thon or Zimmerman? Last I knew their recruitments are still pretty wide open. Any news on that front Hoosier Nation?

I'm backing off of Thon for now. Things could get messy here if the NCAA gets involved. I also read a tweet from a random that said Thon is actually 19, not 17. Take that with a truck of salt, but it's out there. Regardless, I'm scared of getting into something like that.

Don't have the slightest idea about Zimmerman except that everyone is recruiting mom more than Stephen.

It was just some random guy on twitter. I think he posted it twice. Could just be a troll or something. But when you have a kid from a struggling part of the world like Thon, there always can be discrepancies. Here's the tweet. I don't believe the guy, but he tries to sound like he has an in:

I earlier wrote on the Thon thread that his highlight video made him look like a man among boys. Appears that may literally be the case. Really wish we could avoid getting heavily involved with recruits who have "handler situations". They never seem to turn out well.

That whole Thon to Canada and switching schools thing is odd.  Just keep Bender away from him so he doesn't end up at Southern Idaho with Kasongo!  :stop:

Maybe part of our Canada trip was scouting him a new school so he can reclass to us in '15.

Saw on another site that Thon had some not so nice comments on his twitter about his former school and its guard play that came across as a little arrogant. Hope he's not letting his rise get to his head. No denying he's a talent. We will have to watch this Canadian move and see where he ends up.

 Theres something about this kid and all the peripheral action that makes me think STAY AWAY.Leave that crap to the Ky's and the Kansas's of the world.I want us to win but not like that.This is a prime example of whats wrong with college basketball today.
