Troy has got to be a really improved shooter. He is athletic as all get out but there are a million guys with his athleticism and his size that don't even make it into the NBA. If he can become a better shooter and improve his defense, then he will in the league easily

with you 100 percent. The kid showed so much athleticism, but lacked fundamentals, and basketball IQ. If he can turn into a well rounded player, he would be golden.

Anybody have any thoughts on Stan's NBA prospects? His first step and slashing are top notch---he can be a lockdown defender---is he a jumpshot away???

I could not blame Yogi for doing something like that--I know I tried to find every excuse to stay at IU as long as possible and looking back at it now I would do it again if I could! Great place for school---living--and BBall of course!

I don't see an NBA future for Stan considering his size. He can be a pro but probably not in the NBA. You never know, though. Troy Williams, Ferrell, Perea are IU's best pro prospects at the moment.

 

I could see Robert Johnson developing into a Norris Cole type player.

Of course Yogi may soon have more financial opportunities then I did upon graduation if the league comes calling!

On Stan--I remember Crean saying last year that nobody on the team could stay in front of him and keep him from getting to the goal--he showed that a lot during the season too.  Sometimes one special skill like that-- if he can bring the rest of his game up to a solid level-- may be enough to get him to the next level! Glad to read constantly on twitter that he is heading to Cook and putting in work!

On Perea--he is the mystery man. We will see this year what he does with that all-world athleticism.  I know in limited minutes last year he had some quick-ferocious dunks!

Perea on athleticism, that's about it though.

Absolutely. His athletic gifts are elite at the NBA level. That gets him on the radar. It's not something I think will happen, but on IU's team he's easily a better pro prospect than anyone besides Troy. He's definitely got an opportunity to do some special things.

 

Blackmon IMO has a long way to go defensively and with his body before he's an NBA player. In another year he should be there. His offensive skill and level of confidence are good signs.

I'm hoping, Troy, Yogi, and JBJ in the 2016 draft, so they have another year to build a team and hopefully get into the ncaa tourney and have a decent run. I'm thinking Troy may go after this season though, due to some of his social media posts about where in the draft he's predicted to be picked.

Yeah MaraOladipo4--it would be great if they all stayed and then we got that elite big to go with them--but rarely does that happen anymore if the NBA comes calling early...
