Today's game got underway but was suspended in the bottom of the 3rd due to weather with the Hoosiers leading 5-4 with a runner on 3rd and 2 out.  Try to resume play tomorrow with time to be determined.  O$U scored 1 in the 2nd and 3 in the 3rd.  We bounced back in our half of the 3rd scoring 5 runs and a runner still in scoring position when weather stopped play.  Copeland started but was relieved in the 3rd by Kleiman.  Stone with a 3-run HR; Minnick and Mitchell each with 1-RBI in the 3rd.

How do we look for tournament outlook? Probably would win 35-45 games?

At this point I think we have a shot could use some more games. First time since I believe 2011. We have been to the women's college world series in 1983 and 1986.

Yesterday's game has resumed.  We picked up a total of 7 runs in the 3rd to lead 7-4, but O$U bounced back with 4 of its own in the 4th to take an 8-7 lead.  We came right back with 3 of our own and after 4 complete we lead 10-8.  Heather Johnson currently on the mound.

In our 5th, doubles by Copeland and Parker score 3 more runs and and we pick up another run on a throwing error.  14-8 IU lead after 5 complete.

#19 in a row for a new program record.  Final score 17-9 with game called after 6 due to the 8-run mercy rule.

We added 3 more runs in our 6th.  We had 14 hits in the game; 10 of them were for extra bases.  We also had help from O$U pitchers with 8 walks and 2 HBP.  Minnick 3-3 on the day; 3 IU batters with 2 hits apiece.   Stone 4 RBI; Mitchell and Copeland each with 3; Bassett and Minnick each with 2.

3 IU pitchers gave up 11 hits but only 1 BB.  Johnson got credit for the "W".

Doubleheader on Sunday to finish out the weekend.

Book it.  Win #20 in a row with a 6-5 victory in 1st game of today's doubleheader.   We only had 5 hits but O$U gracious enought to commit 2 errors, throw 2 WP and hit 4 IU batters.  No IU batter with more than 1 hit or 1 RBI.  Johnson started and pitched 5 innings giving up 8 hits and all 5 O$U runs (only 4 earned runs).  Montgomery finished up on the mound allowing 2 hits.  Interestingly, neither of our pitchers recorded a single strikeout nor did they walk a single batter.

Today's 2nd game is just getting started.

Women pounded out 11 hits --  5 for HRs that accounted for 6 of our 10 runs.  Minnick went 3-3 and the only Hoosier with multiple hits.  Meeks with a pinch hit double in the 3rd drove in 3 runs.  Kern and Minnick each 2 RBI.   Copeland, Johnson and Kleiman collectively gave up 12 hits.

Another series sweep and we're 8-0 in conference play and 28-9 overall.  Tuesday night we'll be in Bowling Green, KY to face Western Kentucky.  Next weekend we're on the road for a weekend series at Minnesota.

Women keep on winning with a 3-0 win over Western Kentucky.  We only had 6 total hits but it's all we needed.  Copeland pitched 5 shutout innings giving up all 4 of WKU's hits.  Johnson pitched the 6th and 7th.

Next weekend we'll be in Minneapolis and currently the weather forecast looks favorable for all 3 games.
