Along the same lines that I feel about his tweets, I am not real supportive of telling everyone how little Troy worked on his game last year. Especially near the bottom of the team. I like the praise that he's working his butt off now, but why tell everyone including recruits that you will be publicly called out on what your weaknesses. I don't see how it builds cohesiveness and trust that coach has your back. Would you want to go to into battle for him? This just goes back to my earlier comments about desperation and not good for team unity.

If Troy wasn't working his hardest, he certainly knew that, and Crean probably called him out multiple times privately. He has now publicly praised him for his improvement. I bet if you put Troy in front of a camera, he'd be quick to admit it if he didn't work hard enough last year, because it sounds like he recognized his mistake and has made the change. That's a good sign of maturity that we didn't see in one former player in particular.

I'm sure all of our players love to be called out publicly by their head coach. I disagree with you on Creans motives for doing this publicly. If you watch any of his press conferences, this is very similar to them. He has never had a problem discussing his players shortcomings but usually never finds the words to discuss his. This is the type of coach he is and will continue to be. I think it is shallow and not the best way to build warriors and team unity. I also think it gives your recruiting competitors more ammunition since most recruits and parents won't go for it either. Why don't we ask Troys mom how she feels? Then it will be coming straight from hotmom's mouth.

Unfortunately it sure hasn't hurt the squid much, or at all really.  I'm sure blank checks help though.

Didn't say one word about any drinking affecting anyone's work ethic. I said "Troy and Stan have definitely been doing some partying." If it doesn't affect his play, which it doesn't for 99% of players, then it doesn't matter. It was a statement based on the numerous public photos he has sent out using several media outlets. But if the past season has taught us anything, you have to keep that stuff behind locked doors and out of the public eye. Stan, Yogi, and Hanner all got in trouble for drinking. We can't have it happen again if someone decides to upload a photo of an underage kid drinking. They need to be more careful.

All it takes is one fan from an opposing school to screen shot a snap chat or get a photo from a certain former IU basketball player's sister on Instagram and upload it. Wouldn't that be more detrimental to all of his hard work than the actual drinking? I think so. Because I don't personally think drinking is a bad thing. Even for under age kids.

Going after, imo, the best player in the class.

I think he meant to quote where you talked about Cal being at the ESPYs, he went and seen Jaylen Brown after leaving there.
