It's tick season

Recommended Posts

I've heard an easy way to remove ticks is to put some vegetable oil on their backs.  I haven't tried it but it's supposed to make them detach themselves.

You can make homemade tick repellents too:  2 cups vinegar and a cup of water in a spray bottle, to give it a scent add 20 drops of an essential oil (eucalyptus, peppermint, citrus, etc).  Made a mixture for my mom's dog a little while back and haven't found any on it since.
