Peegs article was superb. It included a lot of "feel good" statements from Jeremiah. Really hope he buys into J'Ney 100%: T Priller also. CTC has the framework in place in order to entice a player of Daniel Giddens caliber to commit. If not DG, other 5 star's will have to take a hard look at UI ( or no, I just committed a mortal sin in not using correct semantics). The pieces are falling in place; it is just a matter of time before a 5 star's eyes are opened to the fact he has the supporting cast that will allow him to excel. "I'm pumped".

This is how a real competitive, championship team develops. Having to deal with numerous 5/4 star players in overlapping positions requires a coach to spend way too much time in psychiatric mode massaging fragile egos.

Did I say, "I'm pumped"?

April's high school coach is just pumping up his guy.[/quote] This just in, April's mom says Jeremiah is the best basketball player in the country.

His coach has good things to say about him, stop the presses!  I'm shocked I tell you.

Are people reaching so far to find good things about some of these recruits that they will latch on to their coach saying good things?  Hartman's coach had good things to say about him too.

Have to realize that it's not just April or Priller's coaches saying that they can contribute... Crean, assistants, and others have brought these young men into our program with the same belief that they can contribute.  If not this year, then in coming years. Yeah, they aren't the skilled 4/5 star guys that we'd like, but this backcourt depth is just as important for allowing our most talented players to be most effective AND WIN GAMES most importantly.

Excited to see what April looks like on the floor.  If anything, i'm excited because April seems like a good kid and knows he has been given an opportunity at a program he never would have thought could come true.  You know he's on cloud 9 right now, and will try as hard as anyone else to make an impact and not let the opportunity he's been given by our program to go to waste.

We need stability in our roster, especially backcourt, and if April can beef up and show some talent, then we are sitting pretty well.

"You know he's on cloud 9 right now, and will try as hard....." Couldn't be better said! I'll bet the naysayers also deny global warming.

I don't believe anyone has said they won't ever contribute. This discussion is about the upcoming season, as you can tell from the thread title.

No, you're right. Maybe "contribute" is the wrong word, but I wanted to make a point about the positive words coming from April's previous coaches and the comments that were made previous to mine above...

for example - "His coach has good things to say about him, stop the presses!  I'm shocked I tell you."
                   - "
This just in, April's mom says Jeremiah is the best basketball player in the country."

The posts above mine I felt were negligent to the fact that our staff saw enough in this kid to bring him into our program with a scholly, and they were only focusing on the people in April's life previously who have been saying positive things and were downplaying his potential skills. we don't know! but our coaches might!

I was just satirically commenting on the "breaking news" lol.

Is your life so miserable that you have to be negative about literally everything? It's pretty absurd.

Thinking a player is better than he is because their coach has good things to say about them is pretty absurd.

I think this is all a big misunderstanding. He's just trying to say that you'll never have Emma Watson. The closest you'll get is taser range. Again, his words, not mine.
